"Well someone must have sent you here to save my life

Someone must have sent you to save me tonight

I know that in darkness I have found my light

I know that in darkness I've been given sight

In your loving arms I feel delight

In your loving arms I'll be alright

Someone must have sent you to save me tonight

Someone must have sent you here to save my life"

Taylor's POV

During the week that I had left with him I did all the things I ever wanted to do.

First, hold his hand while taking walks during the day like some old couple. In the park, he intertwined his fingers with mine, coming to a slow halt as he stared into a tree. "What is it?" I asked him.

"I guess it wasn't the last time. Flowers might blossom again." He looked up at its leaves.

"On that tree?" I looked at it too, seeing it look so dry and practically dead. I know he could sense some life out of it, but it looked unreal. "Yes." He nodded.

"Let's come see it together." I tell him, making him look at me. "You and I should come see it together."

Here I am again with false promises. I keep doing it all the time, just to find comfort. I adore the mindset of growing old with him and just living life with him in it, yet it seemed impossible to have.

That's why I want this week to pass like a dream. I want to know how it felt like to spend time with him just as an ordinary couple who loves each other whole-heartedly.

Second, buying groceries with him

Here I realized that he loves buying unnecessary things because they look pretty. He doesn't even eat! Every time I see something he'd put in the cart I'd put it right back, at first he pouted when I did it, but the next few times I'm sure he just found it entertaining whenever I rolled my eyes and put it right back.

He paid for everything of course.

Lowkey sugar daddy methinks.

I need to stop using the internet, I swear.

Third, cooking a meal with him.

Here in his kitchen, that's being used for the very first time, I have now discovered that I'm dating someone who knew how to cook the entire time. I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED. The love I have for food is endless, yet he kept this talent from me the whole time?! How dare he. The moment he took off his rings before I began talking him into making pesto pasta, he started taking action like I wasn't there.

"Swift, why are you staring at me like that? You look scary." He asked me as he peeled the ingredients. Not even 5 minutes had passed, he finished finely chopping both the onion and garlic.

WHAT THE HELL.

"You knew how to cook the whole time?!"

"Yeah, why?"

"I- YOU NEVER COOKED FOR ME."

"You never asked."

Fair point.

With a smirk, he hands me a pot with a strainer. "You know how to cook pasta, right?" He asks, obviously amused with the pissed look on my face, knowing very well he always has the last word.
