Chapter 32: Make A Wish

Gigi's POV

"Oh my god." I stared at my iPad in shock, yet with a blank look in my eyes. The more I could see what was on my screen, the more I couldn't possibly think that this was real. "Did you see that I was in the top 10?" I faced Zayn who sat beside me, he gave me a short nod, while I cracked a smile in joy.

"This is my first time!" I exclaimed, while he chuckled from my reaction.

"Congratulations." He says, looking at the screen then back at me.

"This is amazing! See? I told you romance isn't my genre!"

"Okay, fine. But isn't the main character...based on me?" He asks curiously, pointing at the book I created which was entitled; "The Devilish Landlord"

"...Well, yes." I admitted. "But I added my imagination to it."

"Do I seem like a devil to you, Hadid? Why does he have to be a demon of some sort?"

"That part isn't important. You need to focus on the fact he's a landlord. Are you really that offended by it? Sebastian Michaelis is literally the blueprint here. I don't know about you, but devils and demons are sexy."

"You think I'm sexy?"

"Yup."

"..."

Oh my god.

I did not just say that immediately.

And ALOUD.

"NO-"

"I'm not sexy?" Zayn questions me, with a playful look on his face.

"What? You are. I mean- no."

"Sure." He laughed for a bit as my cheeks grew red from embarrassment. I can't believe my mouth just runs this way. I am absolutely insane. "Anyway, did you cut your hair?"

"H-huh? Y-yeah. A little. How did you know I only trimmed a bit of it. It's still pretty long."

"Is it to go to a school reunion?"

"No, because...you told me you were coming here."

A small pause followed, while he continues to look at me with an unreadable expression on his face. He suddenly rests his arm on the back of the sofa we sat on and leaned towards me.

Instantly, I blocked my face with the palm of my hand before he was too near. "What's that look in your eyes?" On the inside, my heart was beating rapidly as I asked him.

"What's your hand doing there?" He sounded a tad annoyed.

I put my hand down. "I mean, it's all too sudden."
