𝙹𝚄𝚂𝚃 𝙰𝙽𝙾𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁 𝙼𝙾𝙽𝙳𝙰𝚈

"Tony I can't do it. I just can't do it. Please team me up with anyone but her." Currently I'm in Tony's office discussing the new mission and pleading for me not to have Sharon on my team.

Ever since last week when we were officially introduced she's never been away. Obviously her and Steve decided they liked each other enough to go on a proper date. I mean a date!? Ugh not that I cared, I hated him.

"I thought you liked how we were getting a new team member?" Tony says frowning at me.

"You didn't say she was a new member of the avengers. You said she'd just be here more with Maria. You know you said she's not an avenger. Just more involved with Maria and the team."

"She's not an avenger-"

"So I'm not working with her." I protest crossing my arms over my chest sitting back in my chair.

"Y/N." Tony warns as I know I'm acting like a brat but no I wasn't doing it.

"Tony I'll work with anyone but her-"

"Anyone?" He says raising one eyebrow straightening himself up in his chair.

"Yes! You can give me with a permanent partner and I swear I won't complain." I plead. Surely there couldn't be anyone worse.

"Fine." He finally answers running a hand through his hair.

"Really?" I couldn't quite believe he caved so quickly. Then it hit me.

Oh no. Shit there's gonna be a catch. Don't say who I think you're gonna say-

"Yes, you can work with Steve." He says a small grin on his face.

Dammit!

"But i'd just managed to drop him as my partner-" I know it's pointless but I try and plead my case.

"It's either Sharon or Steve. You pick."

The worst ultimatum. Well it wasn't really, I just didn't want to have to control myself.

"Steve it is then." I say in defeat standing and begin walking out his office.

"You guys are a great team!" I hear Tony shout as I exit and begin walking for the corridor. I can't help but smile to myself. As much as it pained me he was right. Steve and I did work great together on missions.

Heading to the elevator just as I step in I hear a voice behind me. "Hold the elevator please?" Automatically I oblige, it's not until they step in a realise who I held it for.

"Thanks y/n." Sharon says giving me a grateful smile.

"No problem hun." I say giving a bitchy smile. I couldn't help myself, I had no reason at all to even be remotely jealous yet here I was. Being as jealous as ever.

"I'm glad you're here y/n-"

"You are?"

"Yeah, I wanted to apology for the other night-"

"What about it?"

"Well with you walking in on me and Steve, I could see how upset you were-"

"Let me just stop you right there Sharon. First off I wasn't upset. I was tired and didn't wanna have to sleep on the couch again and second what you and Steve get up to is none of my concern. Just remember I have to share a room with him and I'd appreciate being able to sleep in a bed." Before Sharon has time to respond the elevator doors ping open and low and behold waiting on the other side is Steve.

"You've got to be shitting me." I mutter as I squeeze past Steve as he steps in.

"Hey you." I here Sharon say, discreetly I turn to look at them but I wish I hadn't. Seeing in the corner of my eyes they share a sweet longing kiss. And damn it made my blood boil.
