𝙴𝙽𝙴𝙼𝙸𝙴𝚂 𝚃𝙾 𝙻𝙾𝚅𝙴𝚁𝚂 𝚇 𝚂𝚝𝚎𝚟𝚎 𝚁𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚛𝚜 ✔️

𝙶𝙸𝚅𝙴 𝙷𝙴𝚁 𝙰 𝙱𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙺

Opening my eyes slightly I can still feel Steve's arms wrapped securely around me, making me feel warm inside. I must have fallen asleep in Steve's arms after he'd finally managed to calm me down. Not wanting to lose this moment I close my eyes once more allowing myself to drift back off to sleep.

**A FEW HOURS LATER**

Waking again this time I roll my body slightly and that's when I realise Steve is no longer wrapped around me. Unsure of where he's went I decide to just stay in my bed and wait to see if he returns. After a few minutes I hear voices approaching, instinctively I close my eyes again pretending to be asleep.

"Shh she's still asleep." I hear Sharon whisper.

"Good she really needs to take it easy, I'm not sure how much more she can take of all these tests." I hear Steve next also whispering.

"I know, it's just not fair you know?" After Sharon speaks again it goes very quiet and I can't make out what they're whispering to one another anymore. At the risk of being caught I peak one eye open to try see what's going on. Seeing them out of earshot distance that's when I see Steve's arms wrapped tightly wrapped around Sharon's waist as her face is nuzzled into his neck returning the hug he's just given her.

How did I forget? He's with Sharon... he only said those things to calm me down. If he cared he wouldn't be with her. Remember that y/n, he's with Sharon and she's great... so great. I can't be doing this with him. I can't hurt her.

**STEVE POV**

"Thanks again Sharon, you know for looking out for y/n like that... it really means a lot you now." Pulling back from the hug Sharon rests her hands on my shoulders.

"Steve she is so great. The amount of trauma she's had in her lifetime and she just carries on with life trying to make the best out of a bad situation... I just don't know how she does it?" Shaking me slightly she then lets go of my shoulders tucking her hair behind her ears.

"Look I'm thinking maybe I went too far with the whole fake dating you thing? I know I only did it to try get y/n to admit her true feelings but with everything that's going on I need to be here to support her y'know? I don't care if she's not ready to admit it but I am. Sharon I'm really starting to fall for this girl." Shaking my slightly she then lets go of my shoulders. I finally felt relieved to admit how I was feeling, for weeks now I felt so guilty with how I was treating y/n but not anymore. Now I was going to do what I could to prove to her that we're meant to be.

"About damn time Rogers!" Sharon takes a few steps back ready to leave me with y/n again but stops as she notices Bruce and Tony headed our way.

Sharon whispers under her breath "Oh this is gonna be good, got to stay for this one."

I see Bruce and Tony walk up with a blood draw kit. Narrowing my eyes at them both, I ask what they might be up to. "We need to grab another blood draw from Y/ N to see what's happened exactly. We think we have a theory."

They look at each other then back at me. "Absolutely not! You will let her rest and not poke her any more right now!"

**Y/N POV**

Hearing the  sudden commotion from behind my slightly drawn curtains I can't help up push myself up slightly to try get a better look at what's going on.

"Absolutely not! You will let her rest and not poke her any more right now!" I hear Steve's voice raise louder as he speaks.

Tony shakes his head visually frustrated. "Steve, listen we need to get to the bottom of what's going on-"

"And you will... later! Y/n has been though enough and she doesn't need to be a human pin cushion. I will let you know when she's ready for more tests, are we clear!?"
