𝙴𝙽𝙴𝙼𝙸𝙴𝚂 𝚃𝙾 𝙻𝙾𝚅𝙴𝚁𝚂 𝚇 𝚂𝚝𝚎𝚟𝚎 𝚁𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚛𝚜 ✔️

𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙿𝙻𝙰𝙽

I don't know what knocked me out of my trance but I instantly sprung into action, running with all I had to get to that tower. "Tony!!" I scream as everything starts becoming more clear, the closer I get. "Tony! What the hell happened?" Finally reaching him, I rest my palm on his shoulder, catching my breath whilst scanning to see who's also there.

"Y/N! You're here?" His face scrunches, looking extremely puzzled at my presence.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be here?"

"Steve... He... he thinks you're still in there."

Feeling my heart drop I collapse to my knees, trying to catch my breath as the panic takes over my body. Feeling flush, my body is on fire, sweat is pouring from me as I become more and more hysterical. Screaming at the top of my lungs I waste all my energy, my whole world crumbling from around me.

Rushing to me Tony is crouching down, trying to prevent my limp body from collapsing completely. "Y/N I need you to calm down." Storking the wet hair from my face as my tears drench me he tries to get me to look at him.

"y/n please, I need you to look at me." Cupping my cheek he tries to maneuver my head to look at him.

"Look at me y/n please." Whimpering in his arms I can't bring myself to come back to reality.

"LOOK AT ME!!" Giving me a sharp jolt I stop. Looking at Tony he wipes my eyes, trying to clear my tears.

"They are going to be okay. You hear me! Everyone is going to be okay!"

Nodding I feel my bottom lip tremble as the tears threaten to take over again.

"Y/N!" Hearing my name being called from a distance I look around frantically trying to see who it is. Sam comes running over with Bucky, looking pretty roughed up. "S-am.... Buck! You're alive!" I croak as I scramble to my feet, rushing over to hug them both.

"We thought you were still in there! Steve.... He went back for you..."

"He did? I know he did... Shit! I need to get in there!" Pushing back from the boys I stumble over my own feet, making a break for the destroyed building.

"Y/N wait! You can't!" Bucky is right behind me, grabbing my arm with his vibranium arm, he spins me around to look at him.

"Buck get off!"

"You can't!"

"I told you! Get off!"

"Y/N you can't do this... not alone! We have to do this together!"

"Then let's go!!

"Y/N just stop and think for a moment." Bucky's grip tightens around my arm. "If we all go running in there with no plan then we're all better off dead." Rolling my eyes I scoff in agreement, realising what he is saying is completely right.

"Ugh... fine. What's the plan then genius?" Looking down to my arm my body language tells him to let go. Slowly he loosens his grip, finally releasing me from his arm.

"You're the smart one aren't you?" Smiley I laugh slightly, shaking my head.

"Right, everyone who isn't badly injured over her stat!" I shout at the top of my lungs, grabbing the attention of everyone who is around.

"Come on you lot, you heard her! Y/N is in charge of this operation!" Bucky swings his arm gesturing everyone to gather round. Everyone who can manage to make it over, awaiting to hear the plan.

"Okay so here's what we know. The tower has been compromised and casualties are to be determined... Tony, are we able to tap into F.R.I.D.A.Y and see if any of the surveillance is active?"

"On it!" Grabbing one of his techy devices he gets to work, trying to tap into F.R.I.D.A.Y.S system to see what's still live.

"Okay, Sam, Buck you boys are gonna come with me. Bucky and I are super soldiers so we can handle more than everyone else. Sam, you still got wings?"

"You know it." Saluting me he turning, running to go and get his equipment he has as backup.

"Oh my god... Ivy... Dan..." I whisper to myself.

Shit! I can't lose any of my family!

"Ivy! Dan!" I shout looking through the group of people we have. Becoming frantic I lose focus of the task ahead, my emotions taking over once again.

I can't do this... shit I cannot do this. I'm going to lose everything. I can't survive this.

"Y/N!!!" I hear a scream, coming from the direction of the tower.

"Y/N!!!" I hear the scream again... I recognise that voice from anywhere and the fear being carried in it.

"I-Ivy!" I call back pushing people aside.

"Ivy baby I'm here! It's okay I'm here." Running I grabbed my sister tight, pulling her close to my chest, holding onto her like our lives depended on it. Feeling a large pair of arms wrap around me, my heart flips, hoping it Steve.

"Steve?" I ask, trying to turn to see who is behind whilst also keeping tight hold of my sister.

"I'm afraid not, just your idiot big brother." Feeling relief to know he is okay I sigh in relief but deep down my heart sinks, hoping for just a moment my Stevie was safe and sound.

Finally prying myself free from them we all check each other over. "Have you seen Steve or Sharon?" I ask hopeful but the way their faces drop my heart sinks even further.

"Dan I need you to keep Ivy safe. I need you to both to keep safe, you got that?"

"What do you mean? Why are you saying this?"

"I'm going in... I need to find all the missing. People are dying in there and I need to save them!"

"Y/N are you crazy?!" Dan shouts in anger, obviously not happy with this plan.

"No disrespect Daniel but these people have been my family for the last year. Yes I am blessed to have you and Ivy back but these people have been there for me, even when you weren't. I have to do this okay... I can't lose my family... and I can't lose..." Trailing off I can't bring myself to finish my sentence. The tears have returned and I just know I can't hold it together much longer.

"Just promise me you'll come out alive..." Dan grabs my shouter, squeezing slightly.

"I promise."

"Y/N you ready?" Bucky calls. I look to see him gathered with Sam and Tony. It was time to bring everyone back, get everyone to safety and most importantly save the love of my life. Running over I grab some equipment available, ready for his rescue mission.

"Tony what did you find?"

"Okay so it looks like levels 10-20 are actually still active, once you're at those levels I can monitor the risks... guide you through."

"Perfect!"

"Sam, can you do an external scan to determine how many are still inside? Buck, you and I need to stick together. Once we find survivors we call for backup to come retrieve them once we ensure the area is secure and safe."

"Okay and for those who aren't so fortunate."

"You know what to do." I say, unable to hide the sadness in my voice.

"Understood."

"Okay boys.... Ready?"

"Ready."
