Third POV
The rest of the time before winter break, many girls were in awe of how James Potter looked, and many boys were in awe of how Cassia Le Fay looked. Of course, James didn't like it. Sirius and Frank were becoming experts in calming the Potter down when he got a bit temperamental, they both knew an early inheritance was a big thing and that James and even Cassia would be more temperamental until they hit the age they should have had their inheritance. What surprised many people was that Lucius Malfoy had been spotted talking to them, so had Narcissa.
Remus and Peter had been wondering why James and Sirius had stopped talking to them. James had actually told Sirius, right in front of them, in French, knowing the other two did not know French, and slightly testing Remus' hearing as he did it quietly, "Wolf is Goat minion, Rat is No Nose Minion," of course not saying their names in case Remus did hear. The werewolf didn't hear and Sirius snorted and said back, in French, "Idiot is killing wolf and himself," and after that stopped talking to the two and asked McGonagall if they could room with Frank instead. It didn't help that the two were setting James' temper, and let's just say Remus' healing has also been affected but James successfully broke his nose for suggesting to stay away from Cassia. Peter had squeaked in fear and Sirius didn't even bother stopping him, neither did Minerva. She just calmly asked Marlene to go fetch Cassia while she made sure James didn't actually kill the werewolf. When she turned back, hearing a louder squeak, James had turned his attention to Peter.
Turns out Cassia had already been on her way there and Marlene met her halfway and the two took their sweet ole time walking there until Cassia felt James' temper rise even more. "Nobody look at her unless you want to get beat up too," Sirius practically snarled, stunning quite a bit of Gryffindors, they were further stunned when Frank Longbottom suddenly looked rather intimidating as he stood next to the Black. The two had that sibling bond with Cassia and Pandora. Frank also had one with Marlene, while James had one with Marlene and Pandora. Regulus thought of all three as his older sisters and won't admit that he enjoys the attention he gets from them.
The commotion in the room had calmed down as Cassia skipped up the steps, giving a smug grin to Lily Evans because she couldn't help herself, and entered the room. Minerva, Sirius, and Frank had been blocking the door because nobody knew what the Potter inheritance was and the three knew the family didn't want that getting out. The three could also feel coldness through the door and knew his creature had come out. They saw complete darkness through the slit under the door, and saw it had begun to fade as they saw a certain fae come up the stairs.
After a little bit of quietness had passed and the darkness they saw disappeared. Minerva opened the door a little and heard humming, the three peaked in and saw Cassia sitting in James lap, running her hand through his hair as his head was buried into her neck. They saw his grip on her tighten when the door opened and they shut the door again. Minerva turned to Sirius, "What set this off?" she asked. The other Gryffindors quieted and paid attention and looked at Sirius for an answer, "Lupin and Pettigrew had stupidly suggested that James stay away from Cassia, saying he might be smothering her, that she could grow annoyed with him, that this was borderline obsession. Then snapped and attacked Lupin, soon turning his attention to Pettigrew when he wouldn't stop squeaking," Sirius explained.
"James and Cassia are mates?" another Gryffindor asked.
"Yes that's why he's calmed down significantly since she went in there," Sirius explained. Minerva had motioned for Frank's roommates, he only had two, "I'm sure you know what I'm to ask," she whispered. The two nodded, "We don't mind especially if those two will be setting him off," one of them said. Thankfully the two were magically raised and know about creatures and how important mates are.
In the room, Cassia and James were hearing the whole conversation and when she heard what Remus and Peter had said and felt James' grip tighten, she pulled his head and held it with her small hands, "You do not smother me, I am not annoyed with you, if you couldn't tell, I like the attention," she said with a cheeky smile and she saw a small smile appear on James' face. There was a knock on the door and Sirius and Frank entered, "Well, those two are in the Hospital wing and we are now rooming with Frank," Sirius said.
"We were just giving you time and waiting for the crowd to go away," Frank added. James nodded in thanks and put Cassia down and started gathering his own stuff. Sirius and James packed their stuff and went to their new room with Frank, their girlfriends all following behind.
The next few days were rather calm and soon winter break had appeared. Severus wanted away from the sunburns and shadows attacking him and his magic going wacky, and for some reason thought being away from Hogwarts would make it better. That was, until he heard someone break in, followed by Tobias screaming. He heard muttering and was thankful that his room was locked until what looked like black smoke, like what James Potter could summon had formed under and formed into a big hand and unlocked the door. Then the door was kicked down, and Severus stared in shock as he was staring at Sirius with James (who looked like he didn't want to be there), Regulus on his other side, and Cassia who was peeking out from behind James, "Get your shit, you're going with us," Sirius had stated.
