James stood at the bottom of the stairs that led up to the girl's dorms. "So what do you want us to do?" Marlene asked as her and Alice came down, robes covering he pajamas they had on. James had sent them a letter through a shadow saying he needed them for something. "I just need you to wait there and don't step off the stairs," he said.
"Your creature is coming forward, what are you going to do?" Alice asked suspiciously. She wasn't wrong; one of James' eyes was getting darker while the other was getting lighter.
"Nothing to you two, I promise," James swore. Alice studied him for a second before moving aside to let him through, signaling Marlene to do the same. He gave them a big smile and practically skipped up the stairs, "He's gonna do something to Evans, isn't he?" Marlene asked.
"Of course he is," Alice responded, looking back up the stairs before the two blondes shared a smile.
James snuck into Alice and Marlene's room, spotting Lily asleep on her bed. Jay came forward and concentrated, then smirked in satisfaction as the bag her carried filled up. He snuck back down the stairs, taking his cloak off halfway down. Marlene and Alice saw the smirk as he went up the boys' stairs, giving the two a silent thank you. The two girls hurried up the stairs and found Lily, both jaws dropping before Marlene pulled Alice over to her bed, throwing up a silencing spell and the two laughed their hearts out.
The next morning, Sirius and Frank wake up to find James had already gone. They got dressed and went down the stairs to find Marlene and Alice trying to hide their grins, "We need to hurry up to the Great Hall, Jay something," Marlene said.
The previous day when James had sent something to Alice and Marlene, he had also sent something to Severus. The Slytherin had been surprised to see something from him, especially something involving Severus' biological niece. 'I'm surprising Cassia, ask her to help you with your shadow traveling,' it had said. James had been helping Severus with shadow traveling since Sirius and Regulus were practicing it in their dog forms. Severus, also having learned to drop off letters through shadows, sent one to Cassia and the girl was there in dungeons, Merlin following behind. The two practiced in the dungeons since it had the most shadows before Cassia had to go back to the Ravenclaw dorms.
Severus found Regulus waiting, "Why do you look like you've been awake?" Regulus asked, trying not to seem like he though Severus with his hair up looked really good on him. "James asked me to practice shadow traveling with Cassia. He had a surprise," Severus told him.
"Oh, he must be trusting you now," Regulus comments. Severus gave him a look, "He hasn't said anything when you two are talking, you tried to hold Cassia back and calm her when she was going to attack Evans. Now he's asked you to keep her distracted. He's trusting you around his mate," Regulus pointed out. Severus looked surprised, was James really starting to trust him? 'Well, he did offer to help me learn to shadowtravel,' he thought. Then the two headed out.
The two Slytherins found four of the Gryffindors in there group, the two females with big smiles. "Is my assumption right and James did something?" Regulus asked the two girls. Marlene and Alice's heads rapidly nodded before they entered the Hall and found a satisfied looking James already seated there. Minerva was seated at the Headmistress' position looking at the Potter in suspicion.
"What did you do?" the six of them asked.
Before he could answer, Pandora and Xeno entered, "What did you do?" the two asked.
"You don't know?" Frank asked.
"No, but I'm assuming the vision of what Cassia is going to do to James and the fact Alice and Marlene have big smiles on their face, it was something good," Pandora said.
"I sense someone going crazy," Xeno pointed out.
"She's awake," Marlene giggled excitedly. She grabbed Sirius' arm, "Let's sit, this'll be a show," she adds as more people arrived. Some looked cautious at the smirking Potter. Some started when they heard squealing.
James had always hoped that when he would actually kiss Cassia that it would be on some date, he wanted to make it romantic. Cassia wasn't going to have it that way though. The squealing had come from Cassia as she ran down the Great Hall, a prancing Merlin screeching behind her and tackled her mate and giving him a kiss straight on the lips. James was startled for a second before he quickly kissed back. There group of friends were stunned in surprise, at least until they noticed James and Cassia were still kissing on the floor. "MR.POTTER AND MS. LEFAY," Minerva called.
"MINNIE!" the two yell back. Merlin letting out a bark, wanting to be included.
"Do that in your own time," Minerva told them, everyone's heads snapping up to the Headmistress. Then, there was a shriek.
Lily Evans ran in...bald. Completely. Bald.
