Just before OWLS began, James had noticed Cassia's stress was increasing. He knew all of the Ravenclaws in particular were just stressed about the tests, but he also knew Cassia was stressed because she had to be the one to find the horcrux for James to get. They had also gotten a theory of what could destroy the horcuxes, but it was missing. Godric Gryffindor's sword was hidden somewhere in the castle, the Potters knew that, but they hadn't known where it was. James sent a note to Cassia through Merlin and hurried to finish up everything.
Cassia looked down when she felt small paws on her thigh. She found Merlin with a small note attached to his collar. 'Be ready to meet as the Astronomy Tower—James' it read and she bounces happily in excitement, ditching her studies and hurrying to find her perfect outfit for tonight. "Red and black dress," Pandora spoke as the fae passed.
"Ooooh, perfect," the fae answered in her excited tone. She knew the note hadn't been from someone else or else Merlin wouldn't have given her the note. She hurries and gets dressed and curls her hair in the delicate curls Marlene taught her how to do. She hears a bark and looks down to see Merlin pointing to her amethyst necklace. "Good idea Merlin," Cassia smiles and puts on the necklace before skipping to the door. Merlin stayed behind and went to Pandora, snuggling into her side as she spent time Xeno. "Fox for a cockblocker, lovely," Xeno snarked before going back to his dreamy expression when another Ravenclaw passed as Pandora hid a giggle as Merlin rolls his eyes.
Cassia walked out of the Ravencalw door and squeaked when arms were wrapped around her and something was over her head, her fae had relaxed sensing James with her and she turned around and hugged him, the two sharing a kiss before he quietly nudged her in the right direction under the Invisibility Cloak. "I thought I was meeting you there?" Cassia asked.
"Yeah, but why can't I escort my lovely date to our location and avoid the Evil One?" James answered quietly, just as they passed Lily Evans lurking with her still bald head in the hallway. Cassia quietly giggles as they sneak by the girl trying to get into the kitchens. Lily hadn't shown up for the meals which was relieving to most of the other students as she was now the one who would usually cause a scene.
They reached the Astronomy Tower and Cassia spotted pillows and blankets and, of course, the treacle tarts. James smiles when he sees Cassia's ears slightly going pointed as she spotted her favorite treat. "I figured, I had never set up the astronomy Tower date and I thought it would be the right time," James spoke. They sat down and looked up at the stars and James said, "Should I be annoyed Sirius is watching?" he asked, pointing at the bright star.
"He would know so much gossip if he could actually watch through his star," Cassia responds.
"Wonder what my mom and Orion are going to find out with their new jobs?" James questioned, knowing the two had started their jobs as Death Omens.
"Orion's going to hunt down Thanatos," Cassia points out.
"His fault for hiding from a persistent man," James answered. He knew his ancestor was admittedly a bit shy, having a twin who sleeps all the time, Thanatos was by himself a lot as a young godling.
"I'd bet money that he's hiding as Mors," Cassia pointed out, "Orion hasn't met Mors yet." The demi-witches/wizards and guards did discover the presence of the Roman Gods. Severus, the more recent one to know, had a major headache trying to figure out the Roman counterparts. He found his father's Roman counterpart, Pluto, wasn't as temperamental as Hades, but the gold eyes of his was a bit startling. The demi-wizard/witches had told Severus and the guards that they had theorized Pluto specifically was still outcasted because his eyes resembled his father's.
Back to the date, James and Cassia switched topics to possible pranks they could pull next year and who to get it on it. James was thinking of any topic they could talk about that wouldn't stress Cassia. They were both laying back on the pillows and eating the treacle tarts before Cassia perked up, her translucent wings that had been visible almost hitting James in the face. "The centaurs are out," she whispered, grinning widely, showing off her sharper canines. James scoots closer and looks down at the centaurs who've wandered out of the forest for a little bit and looking up to spot the two and giving them a wave, "These centaurs have a bit of my mom's magic so they know who we are and know I'm a fae and you're a collector. The Party Ponies I swear may have been cursed Xeno's dad cause they kept visiting Chiron too much and annoying him so now they party all the time," Cassia rambled while James watched her adoringly. Jay had been excited when James spotted Cassia wearing the amethyst necklace.
The alarm soon went off on James' wand. "Is it time to go?" Cassia asked softly and a bit sadly.
"Unfortunately it is, we have OWLs tomorrow," James reminded her. Cassia pouts before getting up with James' help. He collected everything, handing the last half to Cassia which cheered her up a little and they walked back to the Ravenclaw Tower and Cassia kisses James, "Thank you for the date," she said and the door opened for her and she leaves a smiling James behind to put on his cloak to sneak in to the Gryffindor dorms. He was also glad Cassia told him about the Gryffindor Line being able to get in the dorms no questions asked. He also heard from his father that Godric Gryffindor made the Headmaster's Office. He kept that in mind as he snuck into bed, ignoring that Marlene and Alice apparently snuck out of their rooms and made into their boyfriends' beds.
Cassia entered her dorms to see Merlin looking very satisfied by something and Pandora looking amused. "According to Xeno, Merlin is a cockblocker," Pandora giggled out and Merlin barked a confirmation making Cassia laugh.
