•~Grace's P.O.V~•
I couldn't form words as I stared at him. He looked the same, just taller.

"Me, Gracelyn Matthews." He ran to me, hugging me, I hugged him back. I felt like a kid again, hugging him goodbye.

"But your-" the cashier started.

"Grace Wolfenhard, I know. The last name is my boyfriend." I answered as we pulled apart.

"You look so different, I wouldn't have guessed it was you, kid." I chuckled as he ran his fingers through my, now, red hair.

"I had to dye it for a new role." He smiled. The cashier smiled at me.

"Let me go get Soda." He said before running off.

"That was Steve if you couldn't tell." I heard small steps and turned around.

"C'mere, sweetie." She ran to me, I picked her up and held her on my hip. Two-Bit smiled and waved at her.

"She yours?" I looked up at him.

"Sister actually, but my mom gave her to me so basically yeah." He nodded.

"What's your name kid?" She drew closer to me.

"Chloe." She answered.

"My name's Two-Bit, it's nice to meet you." She giggled.

"Steve what are you talking about?" I turned around and saw Soda. If I thought he had movie star looks when I was sixteen, I would freak out if I saw him now.

"Grace Wolfenhard?" His eyes went as wide as saucers. I chuckled.

"Stage name. Try Gracelyn Matthews." Soda's eyes went wider than imaginable. I put Chloe down, and Soda ran and hugged me. His hug was longer than my hug with Two-Bit.

"I thought you'd never come back." I smiled.

"I would've come sooner but-"

"Grace, we need to get going." Jeremy came inside, a small jingle emitted while he talked.

"Yeah, sorry," I said hurriedly.

"Do you guys still have the Curtis house?" Soda smiled.

"Darry does, I got the house behind him and Ponyboy has the house beside him." I nodded.

"I'll see you guys later." Chloe wrapped her fingers around one of mine. Soda then handed me the Coke I placed on the counter.

"Here, you can have it for free." I took it.

"Soda I can pay for it." He rolled his eyes.

"Gracelyn just accept the 'gift' okay?" I chuckled and walked out of the door. As I got Chloe buckled I could feel Jeremy's anger change the whole mood. I opened her Coke and handed it to her. I then picked up her headphones and her CD player with her music on it.

"Chloe sweetly, don't take these off until we get to the house, okay?" She nodded before sitting her drink in the cup holder. I put her headphones on her and turned the volume all the way up.

I slammed the passenger seat door closed and Chloe pressed play on her music.

I saw Jeremy's knuckles go white as he gripped the steering wheel.

"That guy you were hugging was Soda wasn't it?" I stared out the window. I knew he'd yell and maybe even hit me, but I didn't want Chloe to hear any of it. I wanted to be happy while I was here. I wasn't sure if I could do that if Jeremy stuck around.
