•~Grace's P.O.V~•
Eventually, we got Chloe signed up for school. I just hoped that kids would be nice to her there, although Soda assured me they would. On her first day at her new school, I woke up super early to make her a proper breakfast and have enough time to do her hair perfectly.

"Bye, Mommy!" I waved her goodbye as she climbed on the bus.

Soda was still fast asleep, I didn't want to wake him up in case he had work in the morning. After Chloe got on the bus I went back to Soda and I's room, snuggling next to Soda. I quickly fell asleep next to him.

-

"Grace, where's Chloe?"

"At school," I said groggily. Soda drew circles on my arm with his thumb.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Soda asked, sounding less tired than I was.

"I didn't know if you had work or not." I rolled over, facing Soda.

"I took off today." I burrowed my face into his neck, just wanting to go back to sleep. "You got anything to do today?" Soda asked, brushing my hair behind my ear.

"No, nothing." I sighed, tiredly.

"Well, want do you wanna do today?" Soda asked.

"Sleep." Soda chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist.

Soda smelt of classic Hâttric cologne and cigarettes. It seemed as if he never changed his cologne since I left, but that didn't matter, because I liked it. I was thinking about it when I fell asleep.

-

"Do you actually think that John Stamos is cute?" Soda asked, as he intently watched the random show we put on.

"I mean, it's John Stamos. Of course, I think he's cute." I shrugged and continued to write down some lyric ideas.

"Have you ever met him?"

"No, but I'm considering asking Dave Coulier if Chloe can meet him." Soda turned to me, furrowing his eyebrows. "Joey Gladstone's actor."

"Ohh." Soda said, scooting closer to me. I tried to think about words that would rhyme or sound good together for the song but would still make sense. "Is he cuter than me?" I giggled as I looked at him.

"You're hot, Soda. John Stamos is cute. There's a difference, Soda." He furrowed his eyebrows.

"There's a difference?" I nodded. "Well, which one's better?" I chuckled.

"I don't know! You can be cute, and hot. Other people can be too, so I'm not sure." Soda shrugged.

"I think hot is better." Soda suddenly stood up, the bed lifting a bit.

"Where are you going?" I whined, making Soda chuckle.

"I need to go take a shower, you're more than welcome to join." Soda winked, grabbing a pile of clothes.

"Um," I gulped, "I'm okay." I felt my cheeks heat up, letting out an awkward chuckle.

"Suit yourself."

-

Soda came out of the bathroom, his hair still looked slightly wet and he was wearing only sweatpants.

"Grace, you okay?" I realized that I was staring, quickly snapping my head back to my paper.

"Y-Yeah, I'm good." I gulped, my voice wobbling a bit. I felt the bed dip as Soda sat next to me.

"Watcha doin?" Soda asked. I cleared my throat, trying to remember my confidence, but I didn't answer him. "Grace." He tapped my paper with his index finger.

"Just um, brainstorming some song lyrics." I gulped, trying to focus.

"You get flustered, way too easily." I looked up quickly.

"I am not flustered!" Soda snickered.

"Really?" Soda smirked.

He took the clipboard, paper, and pencil and placed them on the bedside table. All I could do was stare at him. Soda tipped my chin up, pressing his lips against mine. I kissed back almost immediately. My sixteen-year-old self was freaking out on the inside. Suddenly, Soda pulled away. My body felt hotter than I could ever imagine, I was sure my face was bright red.

"Yeah, flustered."

"You kissed me! What do you expect?!" Soda chuckled.

"No one makes me that flustered." I smiled.

"We'll see about that."
