We have results for the Level 8 tryouts. They're waiting to tell us. Three of us made it. There's three jackets on the table.
"Okay. Three of you made it up." Nikki says. "Those three are."
Coach Jeremy takes the list.
"Callie, Sarah, and JJ."
JJ, he's in the boys group. Nice guy.
We head up. They introduce us to the rest of the team. Bethany, Lexi, Alex, Ella, Josh, Eli, and Luke. Bethany is the best in the team in my opinion. But, I could be wrong. I've only seen Bethany dance. But she takes home first a lot.
"Did you make it?" My mom asks when I get in the car.
"Yes."
"Good job. Did Sarah?"
"Yeah. And JJ."
"JJ? The one on boys?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Just wondering. You excited to work with Nikki?"
"Yeah."
"Do you think she likes you?"
"I think so. Her and Daniel had a say in who made it or not too."
"That's true."
"Well, I just want to have fun and learn from them. They are really great dancers and teachers."
