Life in A Dance Routine

My little girl

We head to practice the next day. Anthony follows. Coach Aria stops by is.
"Coach, is it okay if Anthony plays my dad?"
"Of course it's okay with me. Glad to see you back Anthony."
"Thanks."
On Friday we just celebrate all the work we put into the week. We have small dances with the dads. And we run through the dance. The dads are wearing suits. We are wearing dresses. And the boys, who come in for like three seconds are wearing jeans and a nice shirt. The dance is awesome.

We wait backstage. The men walkout first. And stand by the wall. We walk out in a line. The music starts. When the chorus comes on the dads walk up and lift us. And help us with out cartwheel. And when it says 'my little girl' they lift is in there arms and gently put us down after. For the boys part, the boys walk in. And the dads just shake there heads. And walk to him and act like they're giving him the talk. The boys leave then with a down face. And at the end the dads lift us and put us on there shoulders.
People were in tears in the audience. Even my mom. We walk out. Anthony puts me down and hugs me. He smiles at me.
"Well, how'd I do?"
"Perfect." I hug him. "You don't need a dad when you've got a brother."
"Especially if he's a Marine."
"Yes. They'll be scared of you for sure."
We walk out of the competition to get some food. And Anthony just starts whistling the Marine song.
We head back for awards. The girls sit on the mat.
"First place overall routine goes to. My Little Girl!"
We all run up.
"Girls, may you please say your dads name when we walk by."
"Mark."
"Mike."
"Joe."
"Dave."
"Donny."
And they got to me.
"Mines actually my brother. Anthony."
"Callie, may we ask why your brother played your dad?"
"My dad doesn't have a part in our life's anymore. And it doesn't matter as long as you have a brother. Especially a Marine." Anthony smiles at me. And gives me a thumbs up.
"Well, will Mark, Mike, Joe,Dave, Donny and Anthony please come to the stage." They walk up.
"The top routine, My Little Girl!"
