Life in A Dance Routine

Duet

"Alright. Last weeks competition was great. First in group. And Lexi and Alex both got first in their solos. This week, we have two solos. Which are going to Sarah, and JJ. One duet, which will be Bethany and Callie." Bethany and I do our handshake. "And the group. I'm going to start with the duet. So, Bethany and Callie come on up."
We walk up with her.
"Okay, so your duet is called Life in the Fast Lane. But I can't find cute costumes or ones that will fit to the dance."
"What is this based on?" I ask.
"It's based on my friend and her daughter. She's a race car driver in Wisconsin. Her daughter is a dancer, singer, and artist. So there isn't much connection there."
"Who is it?" Bethany asks.
"Sam-"
"Sammy T-Bo?"
"Yes..... How do you know that?"
"She's like the best driver in the mid west."
"And how do you know that?"
"My mom and her mom were friends. Then my mom moved here. I've talked to her a few times."
"Oh. And as I was saying, I don't have costumes for Callie."
"Why don't you just ask Sammy for an old race suit?"
"Bethany, that is actually a pretty good idea."
"Here. I'll call her." I call her.
"Hello, this is Sammy?"
"Hey Sammy. It's Callie."
"Oh yeah, Karen's daughter. What's up?"
"Well, do you by chance have an old race suit we could use?"
"Yeah. Why though?"
"I have a duet with my new sister Bethany. And one of us is a race car driver and we can't find costumes."
"Well, are you 5"7?"
"Yes."
"Okay. What is your duet called if I may ask?"
"Life in the Fast Lane."
"Nothing better then life in the fast lane."
"Totally." Nikki says.
"And I think I know who your dance teacher is."
"You do?"
"Yes. And if I am right it's Nikki."
"Oh."
"Hi Nikki."
"Hi Sammy. So, is it a deal?"
"Yeah." I hear someone screaming in the background.
"Did you say Nikki! By chance is it Nikki in Minnesota. You know the dancer, and teacher."
"Yes Faith."
"Oh. I don't believe you."
"Okay. Well you will when we get to Minnesota."
"Yes!! I get to see Sammy again!"
"Yeah. We'll be there in like two days."
"Okay."

"So, we get to meet Sammy too!"
"This is perfect! So, Sammy always has straight posture! And you guys will get to learn who they are and it will be great on stage!"
