Thirty Four

Emma

After we left the doctor's office and the twin each got a shot, they both showed some process as they went back to their normal playing selves. We were also given some medication to soothe the pain and some ointment to rub on thier parts.

We decided to go to the beach just to unwind and seeing that Pey cut her day short, But she was still on call for emergency surgeries that may occur.

Nothing much happened at the beach except for Angel went missing for about 10 minutes, to say I was scared would be an understatement. I was completely losing my shit without seeing my daughter anywhere in sight. I had to go around looking for her but to no vail. As I went back to where we were sitting to get my phone so we can call the police. I found her wrapped in Pey's arms playing with her hair while sucking her thumb.

I was about to ask what had happen and where she had gone but Pey just gave me one of her dead stare clearly warning me to keep my shit together and that's exactly what I did. After the whole thing we packed up and headed straight home.

Angel was completely latched on Peyton, she has been silent since the whole beach thing and it was worrying but what I also noticed was how Pey seemed to be in her mind since the events took place. She seems to be in her thoughts a lot.

No one's pov

Mommy?
Kate quickly turned to the side where the little voice was coming from only to be met with one of her daughter's. Angel. The first thing that she did was hold her daughter and embrace her as all the years she's missed made itself known.

Not only had Angel grew to be a beautiful young lady but she was buffed by the fact that her daughter still remembers her. At that moment nothing mattered except for the one in her arms. She was holding her daughter at least. A feeling no one could replace.

But Kate knew it couldn't last as no one has come for her little daughter as yet. She knew her daughter probably wondered of playing her ball and Emma didn't see her walking out of sight. She knew Em is probably looking all over for the girl and it was only a matter of time before she called the cops. Kate didn't want that to happen as it could only mess her only chance to be with her children again so she did the most hard thing ever.

Her : Baby where is your daddy?
Without saying a word Angel pointed out the direction. Angel was finally getting the feeling she has missed since her mother upped and lefted. She finally felt full in her mother's arms.

Kate walked closer where a woman sat bouncing her leg up and down while bitting her thumb nail. A habit Peyton has been trying to break since she was young. Peyton has always suffered from anxiety and this was a sign that if not stopped soon she could have an anxiety attack.

Kate suddenly stopped as she finally got to the woman who seem far in thought as tears came down her face. For the first time Kate was at peace. Just the look on the other woman showed her just how much this woman cared for her children. She walked closer to the woman and she heard blubbering from the carseat placed on the other side of the woman she knew almost immediately that those were her twins.

Kate : Hey

Peyton whipped her head to the sound of the voice only to be met with her daughter in another woman's arms. She jumped and got hold of her daughter asking if she was okay. Not once noticing who exactly was the woman in front of her. Once she finally got satisfied that her daughter was okay, Peyton turned to the woman in order to express her gratitude.

Now noticing who was standing in front of her, Peyton was left speechless but before any words could be exchanged Kate saw Emma approaching from a distance and she knew it wasn't yet time to see her so she did what she could do best. She held Angel's hand and kissed it then went away. Peyton stood there dump folded until she felt Emma touch her shoulder.

What Kate didn't know was that even though Peyton seem to be out of place, one thing about her was that she was observant, even in her state of mind her eyes followed Kate's figure until she made her way to the blue painted house.

Peyton

Me : I can't keep coming her like this, it's only a matter of time she notices and we both lose people we love. You have to tell her.

Her : Yeah I know. Look I appreciate what you doing for me.

Me : I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing it for them

I say pointing at the children. Angel is happily playing with her doll while the twins just move from one place to another.

After the whole incident at the beach, I'm not proud to say but I've actually been coming here with the kids so they can spend time with Kate.

I know it's not my place but after she explained to me why she left the way she did, I did some research of my own and it proved to be true. I started bringing kids here. I know for sure Emma will be angry but once she gets the explanation I know she will come around. Plus I know she still has feelings for Kate. I know I should be jealous but I don't have it in me to be.

So far the week we've spent here, the kids have been crazy happy even the twins. I know they don't know Kate but the bond between a mother and her kids run deeper as they took instant liking on her. It's even hard taking them away from Kate.

Kate : Look when the time is right, I'll tell her.

Just then we both heard banging on the door. Kate went and opened
