Chapter 34

(Still Kaye's POV)

After kami kumain pang dinner sa mall, umuwi na kami.

Ahhhh, this couch is soft- maappreciate ko talaga ang softness ng couch kapag pagod ako. I carelessly remove my sneakers at tsaka pumunta sa kusina para kumuha ng maiinom na juice, at tsaka ako bumalik sa couch, so my mum opened all the shopping bags at inilabas lahat yung mga Christmas decorations.

"Mum, sa umaga mo na yan I decorate mag rest ka muna" I said.

"Titingnan ko lang, I mean Ipaplano ko lang kung saan ko sila ilalagay" She replied.

"Well, okay- punta na ako sa taas, magpapahinga" I said and I went upstairs.

*Phone ringing*

Ugh, sino nanaman yan? I pick out my phone out of my bag to see if who is calling me. Oh, it's Kira,

"Oh?"

"Bakit ka umalis sa tea shop!" She shouted.

"Araay! Huwag kang sumigaw!" I shouted back.

"Bakit ka umalis?" She asked.

"Well, it's a long story" I answered.

"Kwento mo na dali! Tarantado ka talaga noh, Hindi mo pa sinabi sa akin nung anjan ako sa bahay niyo!" She said.

"Mas kailangan nung tao ng pera kaysa sa akin kaya sinabi ko kay Mrs. Hale na magreretire na lang ako at siya yung ipapalit niya." I replied.

"Si Louie yung pumalit sayo diba?" she asked.

"Yup" I simply answered.

"Akala ko bagong barista, well bago nga siya..... tapos hinihintay kita na dadating e wala ka, kaya tinanong niya sa akin kung sino hinihintay ko tapos sabi ko naman ikaw yung hinihintay ko and then he suddenly said to me na umalis ka na daw." She said.

"Ganito kasi yon, he really need to get hired para sa pamilya niya- nahihirapan siyang humanap ng trabaho, and then he asked me kung available pa daw na mag apply doon sa tea shop, syempre I don't know kung pwede pa ba mag apply so I called Mrs. Hale para siya nalang mag inform kay Mr. Reyes, So ayon nga sinabi ni Mrs. Hale na wala na daw- edi syempre nakakawa naman siya kaya nagdecision agad ako na he will take my place- dibale mas kailangan niya pa yon kaysa sa akin kaya ipinaubaya ko nalang." I said.

"Ahh, so ganon nga ang nangyare?- Okay" She answered.

"Yah, yun ang nangyare" I replied.

"Ah, okay then- sige yon lang sasabihin ko sayo-bye" she said.

"Be nice to him" I said and she answered opo, so that ends our call.

*Sighs* I lay down in my bed and spread my arms- Oo nga noh, yung isang kasama namin doon, kamusta na kaya siya? Yung mama niyang na stroke? Bukas na bukas I'll buy groceries and medicine at tsaka ipapadala ko sa kanila- parang early Christmas gift na rin.

~Morning...~

I heard someone making noise downstairs kaya I woke up and went downstairs to see what's happening. As I am rubbing my eyes so that it will be clearer, I saw my mum putting the star on the top of our Christmas tree- at habang yung butler at tsaka maid namin hinawakan yung ladder na nagpatungan niya at tsaka nila sinasabi na sila nalang daw ang maglalagay nung star sa Christmas tree kasi baka daw mahulog si mama- but my mum is hard headed- hindi niya pinapakinggan yung sinasabi nila.

"Mum! Be careful, baka mahulog ka dyan" I said.

"Nah, kaya ko to" She said and as she is going down the ladder she trips, nanlamig mga kamay at paa ko.

"Madaaaam!!" our maid shouted and positioned her self to catch my mum but my mum laughed and say,

"It's a prank!" She said and laughs, dahil sa takot napaupo yung maid namin. I ran down the stairs para tingnn kung okay lang yung maid namin.

"Manang, are yo okay?" I asked.

"Oo, okay lang ako" She replied. I stared at my mum and say,

"Mum namin e, hindi biro yung ganyan" I said and hug her.

"Prank lang naman e, sorry hindi na mauulit" She said and went beside our maid and say sorry and hug her too.

"Go change your clothes, help us decorate." My mum said.

"Okay" I simply answered. And after I took a bath, changed my pajamas into my casual clothes, bumaba na ako and start helping them decorate our house.

Sandro's POV

Okay, Sandro shake those nerves, I jump and then extended my arms, this is it, this is the day, I'll tell my feelings to Kaye- so I grabbed my phone and then message her if she is available sa hapon.

*text message*

"Hey"

"Sup?"

"Uhm, I just want to ask if available ka mamayang hapon?"

"Uhm, why?"

"Uh, wala lang mamasyal sana tayo"

"I'll see if matatapos tong pagdecorate namin ng bahay."

"Okay" I replied. Lumabas ako ng room ko at tsaka bumaba para kakain.

"Sandro, samahan mo ako bumili ng mga pagkain para sa nochebuena" My mum said as she is combing her hair.

"Oh- Uhm- Hindi ba tayo matatagalan doon?" I asked her.

"Depende" She answered.

"Okay- wait lang kakain lang ako" I said and I went into the kitchen.

~At the Mall~

"Hmm, Ano kaya kukunin natin? This ham- ay oo punta ka nga sa may pasta area, kuha ka ng spaghetti at tsaka macaroni" She said to our maid.

"Yes po madam" She answered.

"Mum, matatagalan ba tayo dito?" I asked her.

"Why? Nagmamadali ka? May lakad ka ba ngayon?" She asked me.

"Uhm- o-wala naman pero tintanong ko lang po" I answered.

"Oh okay" she replied, after a sometime lumabas na kami ng mall, pero naisipan ko na bumili ng bouquet para kay Kaye at tsaka para kay tita para hindi mahalata.

"uh, mum mauna na kayo sa sasakyan, I'll just buy something" I said.

"Okay"

So pumasok ulit ako sa mall para hahanap ng flower shop- at boom, buti nalang meron sa first floor, So this bouquet catches my eyes, it's a brilliant red roses, kaya kinuha ko na at tsaka yung pink na rose para sa mama niya. After I buy those flowers I went straight into the cars trunk para hindi makita ni mama.

"So, shall we go?" I said.

"Para saan yung rose?" She asked me suddenly. I raised both of my eyebrows and put my hands at the back of my head.

"Uhh, well para kay Kaye?" I said carelessly. Then mum smiled,
"Hoo, My boy is now a Man!" My mum said and clings on my arm. Then our maid suddenly say,

"Sanaol sayo sir, Naku! swerte yang babae na yan"

I just chuckled and drove off.
