I sit up with a startle, grasping for air. Usually Bucky would help me through my nightmares, but today I find myself alone. Alone in a pile of cold hay.

"It's not real. It's not real. It's just a dream. Just a dream," I repeat to myself.

I collapse back down onto my back against the hay mattress, with a long loud agonizing sigh. I close my eyes, still so tired from the lack of a good night's rest. I'm not in the mood to be met with another one of those nightmares. So I just keep my eyes closed for the rest of the night, keeping my mind awake with thoughts.

After hours, I hear noises outside. With instinct, my second nature, I jolt up and grab the knife I had strapped into my jeans belt, walking toward the door with caution.

I stand with my back against the wall, just next to the big barn door. As a figure of a human comes into view, I grab them by the arms and hold my blade to the mans neck. "Who are you and what do you want?" I growl into his ear.

"Leave him alone." A girl, who seem no less then five years younger then me, with a thick Sokovian accent and red glowing hands comes into my view. "We don't want to hurt you."

"Wanda Maximoff?" I question. Her face turns to one of surprise, clearly not recognizing me.

"You probably don't remember me. But Hydra kept me captive for a year in Sokovia where you were experimented on," I tell her.

She still doesn't respond. To them I was just the useless prisoner in the small cage they never acknowledged.

"You can trust me," She says, lifting her hands into the air in a slight surrender. The red glow gone now.

"No. I can't." I spit out.

"I don't work with Hydra anymore. I left that life. I work with the Avengers now." She explains. Of course I already knew that. I read about it in a newspaper article. But the Avengers took Bucky from me, so they lost my trust because of that.

"I don't care. So just answer my questions. What do you want with me?" I hold the knife closer to the mans neck, almost digging into his flesh and he grasps for breath.

"We need your help," Wanda explains further. I can tell she is trying so hard to remain calm. "It's a long story."

"We don't have time for this." The man chokes out.

Wanda allows her red glow to entre her finger tips again. She uses it to grip the knife out of my hand and throw it far from my reach. She then makes me loosen the grip on the mans neck and he slips from my hold.

Wanda still holds my body in place, unable move. So when the man turn's to face me, he manages to successfully punch me, trying to nock me out. I'm unable to defend myself. I stumble back a bit and try to lash back at him.

He try's to nock me out again, but before either of us can do anything, Wanda moves her fingers In front of my face and nocks me out using her powers. I fall over to the ground, everything turning to darkness.

I wake up with the most excruciating headache ever. I hold my hand to my forehead to stabilize myself, before scanning my surrounding area. I'm in a dark moving van of some sort. I notice a man, sleeping peacefully beside me on the floor.

I try to reach for a knife in my belt but find it to be gone. I then check the one I stuffed in my boot. Also gone.

At least I'm still wearing my gloves. I think.
