"Before continuing, I would like to give you a trigger warning. There is a lot of violence here, and in no way do I support such acts."
Casa del Cibo, Manhattan
It was a Friday night, and a lot of customers were there as Fridays are considered to be a day to enjoy or we may say the holiday eve. Also, Thanksgiving Day was close, and a few workers in the restaurant also took a day off. So there were fewer workers, and the number of customers was high. At around 10 pm, it was time for the restaurant to close, and everyone started leaving.
"Liam? Are you there?", asked Tristan Diaz, the owner of Casa del Cibo.
From inside the kitchen, Liam answered, "Yes, sir. I am here. Is there anything?"
"Yeah, Liam. See, I know you are leaving and sorry you had to work overtime."
"Not a problem, sir. It was a busy evening anyway."
"One small favor Liam. Please!"
"What is it?"
"I just got a call from this certain address and they immediately need some food, and as you can see almost all the delivery staff have gone, can you do it?"
"But sir, I have never delivered anywhere. I am not very conscious regarding this."
"I know Liam, but see here is the address", said Tristan as he showed him the address on his phone. "Just go here exactly. Please, Liam."
"Okay then, I will just deliver it."
"Thank you so much, son. I will tell the chefs to prepare the order."
"Yes, sir", said Liam and he went to sit down in one of the chairs to wait for the food.
After about 10 minutes, the food was ready, and Liam took that bag, hung it on the handle of his bicycle, and went to the address to deliver the food.
In the middle of the street, Liam heard his ringtone, and stopped his bicycle at the side of the street, and picked it up. It was Amber.
"Hello, son? Why aren't you home yet?"
Liam answered, "I know mom. I am sorry. I had an overtime today and this one person just ordered something and as the delivery guys had already left, the manager asked me to do it."
"Then he should have delivered it himself."
"Common mom, he is the manager. He won't do anything", laughed Liam. "Don't worry mom, I'll just deliver it and come home, okay?"
"Just do it quickly and go back home, I will be staying with Yulian tonight."
Listening to this, Liam frowned, but to make Amber feel good, he answered in a cheerful way. "Okay, mom. Sure. Bye."
Liam was in despair to know that but knowing that he cannot change anything, he just paddled towards the given address.
Nearly after 10 minutes, Liam reached the address and rang the doorbell, saying, "Casa del Cibo, your delivery is here."
"One minute", answered a woman.
The door of the house slowly opened and a lady was standing there. She looked like she was in her mid-40s and also looked a bit tense as she was trembling a lot.
"Give me the food", said the lady as she forwarded her right hand to take it from Liam.
Liam was a bit worried seeing her and handed her the food. Just as she held it, she collapsed and the food fell down. Liam got shocked as he opened his eyes wide and immediately got down to ask her if she was okay, but the results were in vain as she didn't answer.
