The next day, three police officers arrive at Liam's house.
"Hello, Mrs. Amber. I hope you are doing well and so is Liam", greets Randolf Fraser.
"I'm fine, sir. Thank you for arriving. Please come this way", says Amber as she guides Fraser and his other two policemen to Liam's room.
"Son, are you fine?", asks Amber as she slowly opens the door.
Liam was wrapped up in his blanket, and feeling scared because of whatever Darien had told him.
Amber goes closer to him and holds his hands, and says, "Officer is here, son. He is here to ask some questions."
"Good morning, Liam", says Fraser as he takes a chair and sits down.
Liam has a sad and confused face. Even though he wanted to punish Grant and Kiara, he is scared to speak up now. He just stares at the wall without any expression.
Taking out a notebook, Fraser asks, "Should I ask a few questions?"
Liam looks at him and doesn't say anything or give any kind of hint. Amber rubs his back and says, "Don't worry, Liam. Everything will be fine. Whoever did this to you will be punished as per the law."
"So, who did this to you? Do you know their name or do you remember their face?" asks Fraser.
"I don't know", says Liam in a low voice. "I don't remember anything."
"You don't have to be scared, son. This is for you. You must get justice."
"I really don't know, officer. It was dark. I couldn't see their faces."
"It's ok, just try to remember at least something."
"I don't know. I don't remember", yells Liam as he gets up from the bed. "I don't fucking know anything. Mom, please I don't know. I don't remember. I don't want to recall that memory again."
Liam starts to scream as he hits his hand on the wall.
"Liam, son, stop. Don't hurt yourself", gets up Amber and holds Liam. "It's okay."
"I think this is not the right time. He should rest", says Fraser as he walks out of the room with the other two policemen.
Amber puts Liam on the bed and covers himself with the blanket and says, "Rest up, okay. I will be back soon."
Downstairs, in the hall, Fraser tells Amber, "I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you must be going through."
"It's okay. I think Liam is still not better enough", says Amber.
"Did the doctors mention any kind of amnesia?"
"No, they didn't. I am surprised that he doesn't remember the faces. Well, the darkness must be the reason."
"How was he yesterday?"
"Yesterday, he was doing well. I was happy that at least he is getting better. But today, all of a sudden I don't know what happened."
"Did he meet anyone else?"
"No, he didn't. The only ones he has met are me, his father, and my fiance."
"Is he good with his father?"
"Yes, absolutely. Yulian loves him a lot. Even this morning, he called Liam to ask how he is."
"What about your fiance? Is he looking after Liam?"
"Yes, officer. Even he is shocked by whatever happened and he also wants this case to be solved immediately."
