Speak Up, Will You?

Liam gets back to his room and cries while covering himself in the blanket. He weeps so hard that his bedsheet starts to get wet and his face is covered with tears. He also gets numb from the pain in his back and his anxiety starts to hit him and his body gets cold. He lies down without taking off his shoes and just stares blankly at a point with his chest placed on the bed.

Torres Residence:

Gandolf along with his team arrives at Alba's house and arrests her saying, "You lied to us. You did call the restaurant because the voice on the telephone definitely matches your voice. Take her".

A lady constable handcuffs Alba as she cries, "Please, no. I am innocent. I didn't do anything. Juro por Dios. No."

As she turns around, she sees another female policewoman carrying Linda. Alba fights and she runs to Linda saying, "Mija, no leave my mija."

Due to her scream, the neighbors come out of their houses to see what is going on. Everyone are left confused with why Alba was been arrested because she has always been a good person in general, and nobody in the neighborhood had any troubles with her.

The lady constable drags Alba and she is kept inside the police vehicle, while Linda is kept in another police car.

Liam's House, Brooklyn:

"Liam, are you home?", asks Yulian as he walks upstairs. He sees Liam in his room, completely wrapped in blanket. "Are you okay, son?"

"Hmm hmmm", murmurs Liam as he turns around and sees Yulian sitting next to him. He immediately hugs him saying, "Dad".

Yulian hugs him back. "Is everything fine?"

"I am sorry dad, I hurt you. I hurt you so bad. I am so sorry."

"Why are you saying this? I am okay. Look, you didn't hurt me. I am fine", says Yulian confused. "Anyways, I am here to take you to the police station. You have some work to do there."

"No", says Liam and he shakes his head left and right. "I don't want to go there."

"But why? It is important for you to identity the criminals."

"I don't remember anything, I said right. I just don't remember anything."

"Has someone said anything to you?"

"Huh?"

"Did someone tell you anything? Like threatened you or told you not to speak?"

"No. Nobody said that."

"Then? Are you scared of something?"

"I am not."

"Then come with me. I swear I will protect you. Nothing will happen to anyone. I am here with you, your mother is there for you. You don't need to be scared of anyone", says Yulian and he cools down Liam.

Yulian puts Liam in the car and goes to the police station.

New York Police Department:

Alba is kept in the interrogation room and is harshly questioned about everything that happened that night. Yet, Alba didn't change her statement and she kept on denying that she didn't call the restaurant.

Amber is seeing this from a small opening on the door and requests the officer to go inside and talk to her. At first, he hesitates but then thinking that something can be found out, he sends her in.

Amber sits down in front of Alba and tells her, "You don't need to worry."

Alba looks downwards crying and says, "I didn't do anything."

"I know you didn't but someone did and you know who."

"I don't know. I really don't know."

"Look at me", says Amber as she stares directly into Alba's eyes. "This is about your daughter, right?"

Alba is confused. "What about Linda?"

"I know maternal instincts. I am also a mother and I can feel it. You are trying to protect your daughter, right?"

"No. This has got nothing to do with my mija."

"Then why don't you speak the truth? Someone must have threated you by putting Linda in danger. Am I right?"

"No. This is all false. Please leave my Linda out of this."

"I can assure you that Linda is safe and she is with me."

Alba looks at Amber, all confused with what she just said.

"I have your daughter. When she was been picked up by the lady police, and kept inside the police car, I was there inside. She is safe with me. No one can hurt her. I just need answers. It is now my responsibility to protect her."

Alba gets up from the chair and hold Amber's hands and says, "I am so sorry for whatever happened to your son. Please don't hurt Linda."

"She is safe. I won't do anything to her. But if you don't speak then you will be the one hurting her. She will be sent to some foster care without her mother and you will rot in the cell. The choice is yours, either speak or spoil everything."

"I don't know."

Amber sighs as she couldn't do anything to make her speak. She gets up and goes out of the room and says, "That woman is really stubborn."

Liam comes with Yulian and Fraser immediately asks him if he went to deliver the food at Alba's house pointing at her from outside.

Liam recognizes her but as he is been pressurized by Darien, he says, "I don't remember."

At this point, Officer Fraser throws down the walkie-talkie he was holding and yells angrily, "I am done. I am so fucking done. Fucking end the case now."

"What are you saying, Officer? You can't do that", says Yulian.

"That woman inside there is not ready to say anything and here your son also doesn't have the courage to speak up whatever happened against him. If he was alone and all, I would have understood. But this boy got a whole damn security around him yet he is silent like he doesn't have a brain or what!!", storms Fraser. "Tell somebody else to handle this because I am washing my hands from this case that will never be solved because nobody is co-operating."

Liam is almost on the verge of breaking down at this point. He feels that a lot of lives have been spoiled by him and many people are getting affected even though they are innocent. He cries and goes outside the station and gets inside Yulian's car.

Kiara's House:

Darien arrives there and calls Kiara downstairs. He wants to handle the case in his way so that everything remains clears.

"What is it, dad?", asks Kiara.

"I want you to tell me everything. From beginning to end. What happened and who else were involved? Is there anyone else who knows about this?"

"Dad..."

"I want to know the truth. I am trying to protect you here. For this, I need every minute details. So speak."

Kiara knew that there is no way out so she sobbingly tells Darien everything from the moment the whole ordeal started with the love letter.
