The Search

Darien's Office

"I am so sick of each and every one of you. Why can't you do the work properly?", yells Darien at all the staff who brought the textiles. "Just get out."

Darien is very tense right now. He has been thinking about Liam all day. He is scared that he may speak up even after being threatened. He is not able to gather the courage to call Amber and ask what Liam has said.

Amber arrives at his cabin, and as he turns around, his body gets cold.

"What happened? Is everything okay?", asks Amber. "Are you feeling well?"

"I'm good", says Darien. "Just these employees. I don't know, they are a nuisance."

"Just relax and drink a coffee."

Darien sits down on his chair and asks, "Did Liam speak anything?"

"No, he didn't. He said that he didn't remember anything. I highly doubt that."

"Why do you doubt that? Maybe it was too traumatic for him to remember."

"But still, he was getting better yesterday, and today all of a sudden he went wild in front of officers. Even after they left, he tried to end his life. I can't even imagine what would have happened if Yulian didn't come on time."

He feels bad that Yulian came to the house again, but thinking that Amber may get angry, he decides to stay quiet.

"So, what are we going to do?", asks Darien.

"I don't know. But one thing is for sure. I won't rest until I find the criminal", says Amber.

"What about our wedding?"

"Are you for real?"

"We have been delaying the dates. If we don't get married now, then I think the date would go further back."

"But did you see the condition of Liam? I was there. The glasses in the bathroom were broken. There was blood. It was total chaos like some murder scene. I don't want this to happen with my son. He is my first priority."

"But, honey. We can find the criminals after we get married, right? If the criminals are found before the date, then fine, nice. But what if the criminal is not found? We can't risk our relationship like this."

"If this is the case then it will be better if we break up. I can't live with your obsession with getting married."

With a shocked face, Darien says, "Are you really breaking up with me?"

"What else am I supposed to do? You see my son is in a life and death situation. What do you think is more important to me?"

"Please, don't say that we should break up. I promise that I will give my 100% to find the criminals."

Amber sits down and orders a coffee through the telephone.

Kiara's House

After coming back from college, Kiara sees Darien sitting in the living room. "Why are you here, dad?" questions Kiara.

"Just to talk about something important", answers Darien.

"If this is about your wedding or our relationship then I don't want to talk about it", saying this Kiara turns back to head towards her room.

"Liam", says Darien.

Just as she hears Liam's name, her body gets cold and she starts to shake. She feels like her father knows something and now she is in big trouble. "What about Liam?" asks Kiara as she is still turning back,
