Would you believe me that I had this whole chapter written and I thought it uploaded and it deleted the best part that took me 3 hours to write oh well enjoy the rest of this.
I had a towel wrapped around me while I stood in the bathroom gaping at how many makeup products one person can have.
"Well, don't keep your mouth open too long. We don't want flies in there." someone laughed.
I turned around and saw a girl about my age with blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a light pink chiffon dress with one strap it stopped at her knees.
"I'm Emily Lancaster." she says smiling.
" Are you here to make me look pretty?" I ask bluntly.
A look crosses over her face that looks like hurt.
"You already are." she laughs. "But I think I can make you look like Gina's standards of pretty."
After 30 minutes of primping and making me "Pretty". I found out that Emily was actually a really cool person. She was the same age as me and played varsity volleyball for the high school that I was going to attend. And she had a boyfriend,
"You have to meet him sometime. He's really sweet and amazing." she describes.
I smile and on the inside, I wish that I had someone to say was sweet and amazing and treated me like a princess. I sigh and and nod.
"I hope to meet him sometime soon." I say.
"How about you? You gotta guy? Or someone special?" she asks as she curls my hair.
"Ummmm no. He cheated on me and I left him in the dust." I wince once I see her expression.
"Was it bad?" she whispers quietly.
" Well, I lost my best friend and pretty much all my trust for that person and never want to see her again."
"Ouch. You're done!" Emily exclaims.
I look in the mirror and see someone that I don't recognize she's a beauty. Curls cascading down her back and light smoky makeup to match my dress.
"Thank you." I say.
Emily smiles before disappearing through the door to go help her mom and Gina with set up.
Leaving me alone.
