I'm back home and currently enjoying a two day break from the playoff right before our home game slash family day. I asked my family to come with me on that day, but my mom is the only one who's free and so she flew here from Ontario and arrived here yesterday.

My mom is currently at the mall buying me a new toaster because I broke mine the other day, she was about to make some toast this morning but found out that it's broken, so she offered to go buy one today.

I sat on my couch to watch a hockey game replay of the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Detroit Red Wings with my dogs. We're facing the Flyers in our next home game, so I might as well use the break to do my own research inorder to beat their asses.

Thirty minutes since the game started, my dog started barking and wiggling his tails. I also heard my car on the parking lot, my mom probably have arrived. I check the time on my watch and it's almost six, well, the lady took her time!

"Marshall! Down boy." I said scolding my dog who can't stop barking and wiggling in excitement. "It's just Jackie!"

When they heard the door open, all of my dogs went running to welcome my mom. I didn't bothered from welcoming my mom since my eyes are just glued on the screen since the Flyers just scored in courtesy of Konecny.

I heard my mom talking but I barely hear it, she's probably on her phone.

"Aren't you scared with these dogs?" I heard my mom said right before she shouts and called my attention. "Tyler, will you get all your dogs and lock them out? You have a visitor."

"Who?" I shouted back standing up to welcome whoever the visitor is. To my surprise the visitor is already standing next to my mom just meters away from me.

"Hi." She said dryly.

"Keya!" I said completely not expecting that this day will come. "What a great surprise!"

She blinked a couple of times inhaling deeply. "We need to talk."

"You guys should." My mother inserted. "I'll leave you two, I'll just be in the kitchen. Keya, you'll eat dinner here okay?"

Keya plastered a quick smile and nodded. My mom then leave the both of us calling my dogs to leave us alone.

"Hi!" I finally greeted her and gave her a quick hug. "It's really nice to see you here. Do you want something to drink?"

"No, I'm good." She declined. She looks way too drained today, I guess. She doesn't seem to have the usual energy that she has, I can tell.

"Come on, let's talk outside." I offered her. "I think you need some fresh air. You sure you don't want anything to drink?"

She shakes her head.

"Nah... I guess you need one. I'll just go grab something at the kitchen real quick. Just meet me at the back garden. For sure you know the way there right?"

"The ba-- the back garden?" She repeated and I nodded smiling. "Oh, okay."

"Wait for me there!" I said and went to the kitchen to get some drinks while Keya on the otherhand started walking her way out of the house.

When I arrived at the kitchen, I saw my mom busying herself on the kitchen. And when she noticed me, she went my way cupped my cheeks while smiling at me with teary eyes.

"What?" I asked completely confused.

"I'm just way too happy for you." She said. "Just promise me to understand Keya."

"What do you mean?" I ask even way more curious now. "What is going on?"

"You better get your ass in there Ty, go on!" She said sending me away.

I shake my head smiling, my mom is probably thinking that Keya and I are romantically involved by now or something. We don't, we just happened to almost have a baby together but romance-wise, absolutely nothing.

If I was not an idiot before, maybe we have a chance to be official together but our past is messed up and for sure Keya won't give me a chance. I arrived at the garden to see Keya, busying herself admiring the whole place. She was busy touching the flowers in there and looking at the lights that lit up the whole place.

This was her favorite spot when she was living here. The garden is situated just in front of her room before, which is now a studio I stupidly built for her because I was hoping she'll come back but no she didn't. And this very garden, this was full of bushes and have been a completely neglected part of the house. But when she move out, I transformed it into a garden that is now for her as well.

"You like it?" I said as I finally decided to cut her from admiring the whole place.

She looked back at me a bit surprised. "The place looks better."

I was dismayed with her answer since I thought that she'll say yes, but it's nice that she noticed.

"So, what makes you come here and visit me?" I said starting the conversation.

"I didn't come here to visit you--"

"--oh." I said in another dismay.

"--it's just that I accidentally bump into your mom at the mall and something happened. And probably this is all the guiltiness in me or something. I don't know! But I just wanted to apologize about what I did. I am really sorry, I lied to you--"

She's talking way too fast and I couldn't keep up and aside from that I don't know what the hell she's talking about. Lied to me, what?

"--probably because I don't trust you anymore! And I don't want Sky to be traumatized too a---"

"Wait. Slow your roll Keya." I finally said making her to stop from talking. "What are you talking about?"

She stared at me and she looks like she was about to cry or something so I immediately handed her a bottle of water to calm her down. The way she looks right now takes me back to the day where she confessed that I got her pregnant, I kinda feel a quick deja vu right now.

After she drinks the water, she's already calmer. "You okay now?"

She nodded.

"Now, tell me again what you just said calmly this time." I said gently.

She looked at me worried. "Promise you won't be mad? Or get angry?"

"I promise."

She released a huge sigh. "I lied to you."

"Lied about what?"

"Our son, Sky."

"Sky?" I repeated. "That's his name?"

She nodded. "I am really sorry!" She said and now she is starting to cry.

Fuck! Why is she crying? I stood up and sat next to her. Now I hate to see her cry! I don't want her to cry! Because if she does I will definitely feel awful about myself. She's been crying before because of me, she is stressed the reason why we both lose our son! I don't want hurt or let her feel upset anymore.

"Why are you crying Keya? Come on. What are you even apologizing for?" I said forcing her to look at me. "Stop crying. I hate it when you cry!"

"I am so sorry. I hope you forgive me." She said and finally looked up to me.

"Sorry for what?" I ask again completely confused.

"Our son is not dead. He is alive."

That stunned me.

"My son is alive?"
