I have an IPC review packet and this happened

Tw: Swearing and science that is 8th grade level

I have no idea of this is considered fluff

Tommy's point of view*

Oh my God I actually did it. I finished that one stupid page that took forever. Mr.Skeppy didn't even tell us what an isotope symbol is! How the fuck were we supposed to know!?

I know that I searched it up and it took me ten minutes but really. He was just going to let me bomb the exam

Oh shit there's five minutes until I go to math

Shit

Time skip to after school

We're in the car and dad is in the store

I groan when I realize that I have to do the homework

"Wiiilbuuuur" I say to my older brother "What, Thomas, I'm doing homework"

"I need help" "With what?" "I dunno hut I have three more pages left" He scoffs and says "Do it yourself shithead"

Time skip to at home

"I'VE BEEN DOING THIS SHIT SINCE FIVE AND IT'S SEVEN. HOW THE FUCK DID IT TAKE THAT LONG TO DO TWO PAGES" I yell out in anger as I am very close to crying

"Tommy, calm down and take a few deep breaths" Dad, who is baking cookies, said

"I've done two pages. For some reason the Z, A, Protons, and Neutrons are all the atomic number. Why wouldn't they just keep it as atomic number!?"

I look over the answers to make sure they are right and even searched it up

That's when I realized

Protons are equal to electrons....not neutrons

Mass minus the atomic number is the neutrons but I thought it was the electrons that it was that

Well this is confusing

So protons is equal to electrons but electrons are negative and protons are positive. So if it follows math then negatives plus positive cancel out which means that there are no positives and no negatives....right?

I have no idea what the shit is happening right now

I search it the A and Z just incase

Well fuck

The iPad at school said that A meant protons while Z meant neutrons

Oh my God

Z means the atomic number so that's fine but A means the atomic mass

So that means that I got three rows wrong. Wait, the isotopic symbol is wrong as well because it's the protons plus neutrons

I let out a fustrated and and dad asks "You good" "No." "Okay, well I have to go pick up Techno, good bye." Dad said as he gets his keys

As soon as he left I started crying

It's so fucking hard

The electrons and neutrons area should be fixed first since they are just going to be switched and then the isotopic symbol

After I wipped my tears I decide to just give up and skip that part for now

I look at the last page and it says isotopes and ions

Mr.Skeppy only taught us the anion and cation

Why is it 235U

"I'm assuming that the u will still be uranium because below it is Carbon - 12 so is it Uranium - 235?" I mumble while opening Google

What is an isotope

Each of two or more forms of the same element that contain equal numbers of protons but different numbers of neutrons in their nuclei, and hence differ in relative atomic mass but not in chemical properties; in particular, a radioactive form of an element.

What is a radioactive form of an element

There is no way that I missed this in class. And what is the relative atomic mass

I need to relearn everything within 1 hour

Bullshit

Time skip

After an hour of Googling I have finally learned it a little bit

The mass differs from each at so sometimes instead of 238 ad the atomic mass for Uranium it could be 235 and then I would have to subtract the protons from it and since the atomic number is 92 then it would be 143

"YES, YES, HELL YES!" "Language." "Sorry. I just got the right thingy majiger- answer for this thing" I've been trying to make the amount of times I say 'Thingy majiger' a say to an acceptable amount which is ten

"Okay but hurry up with your homework. It's already past your bedtime" I mumbled an insult under my breath but left it alone

So nothing else should be affected by it. I got this all down however I need to do the stupid ions

Time skip

This was way easier than I made it looked at first. It only took me half an hour to figure it out!

So the Al+³ means that it has 3 more protons. Real easy. It means that that is a cation and the amount of protons is 16 because the atomic number is 13

Wait no

No no no no

This is wrong. I'm sure that I've read somewhere 'Electrons are equal to the protons when it is a something atom" I think it was neutral atom but I don't remember

That means that Al+³ means it's losing 3 electrons. So the protons will still be 13 but the electrons will be 10

Wait nevermind I'm just an idiot. It would be 16 for the protons and shit. This is going to take so lo- actually....I give up. I'll continue it tomorrow and ask the teacher about it.

Guess what? My teacher was absent again. I don't know if it was right or not and then we got ANOTHER REVIEW! Can you believe that!? 5 reviews, four nearpods, 10 extra credit mini essays, and a test to help us for the exam next week

They are all test grades because it helps others raise their grade. Bishop this test is worth 25 percent of our semester grade and I don't want the other 75 percent to dead

Also extra credits that I got

Math - 20 - I'm not going to fail

History - 13 - it could have been 15 but I left my history book in my IPC class and my teacher wasn't there so I couldn't go back (Poor guy will stay there until Monday)

ELA - 0 - There were no opportunities

Art - 20 - I don't know if I need it since I've memorized most of it

IPC - 2 - we have to write 10 mini essays to get ten points so no. I only did 2

Gym - 0 - no opportunities but I don't think that I'll need it

And that is all

I hope you are have a good day or night and thank you for contributing 10k reads (How did that even happen)
