Moments later someone tapped Billie from the back so she turned her back and face who it was.
"Sino yun?" Mika asked.
"Its kiefer." She said casually.

The moment I open my eyes, I can't help but to think my encounter with Billie last night. We've been good friends for a long time already but I felt something unusual with her. The talk I had with her seems odd, it's a bit strange. Unorthodox. Hindi naman talaga ako nagmamadali kagabi pero bakit ko nasabi yun? But when I saw her, I felt a pang in my chest and kinabahan ako bigla. It's weird that even me, I don't know why.
Then I felt something's vibrating under my pillow, my phone. I grabbed it. I have a message.
From: Billie
Good morning kief. Hmmm, did thirdy change his number?
A smile plastered across my face. Iniisip ko pa lang na itext siya but she already do the deed.
To: Billie
He did. Kukunin mo ba?
From: Billie
Yes sana. Kung okay lang?
To: Billie
Okay. And bils, are you free today? Catch up lang. Sama ko si thirds?
From: Billie
Thanks kiefer. Yes, Im free. Pero third-wheeling ka nun bro. Sama mo si dani. I missed her too.
To: Billie
Okay then. A date with ravenas kind of day.
From: Billie
See you later phenom.
I call dani and thirdy telling them our errand for today. Once they learned about it, dani squealed in delight. This girl is really close to her ate's. I know, dani missed billie and mika so much already. Back then, they usually hang-out. I sigh. Mika na naman. On the other hand, thirdy seems like bother. I don't know what happened to their relationship and I don't bother to ask him about it. I believe that he will open up and share his luggage to us if he found his will to. Pero nakabalik na lang si billie, tikom pa rin bibig niya. I know how tensed he was right now.
I got up from my bed and do my morning rituals. Uuwi muna ako ng Cainta para sabay na kami nila dani later, doon na rin ako mag-bbreakfast para may kasabay.
They were in the dining room, taking their breakfast.
"Good morning." I greeted them.
"Good morning manong." "Good morning anak."
They greeted me. I kissed mom and dani on their forehead then I take my usual sit.
"Where's dad?" I asked.
"Maagang umalis. Urgent meeting daw." Mom said.
"Im so excited for later. Gosh. Makikita ko na ulit si ate bils." Dani utter dreamily. She even hugged me while telling it.
"OA mo dani." Thirdy cut her.
"Panira. If I know, mas excited ka pa nga sakin eh." She replied then sticked her tongue out.
"Tama na nga yan. Kain na." Mom said.
"Manong, anong balita kay Mika?" She added.
Mika. Ano nga bang balita sayo? I sighed before responding.
"Wala pa ma."
Silence fills the dining room as we just ate there quietly. We know that keeping our mouth shut is better than talk about mika. Lahat naman kami nasasaktan sa mga nangyayari. Grateful lang ako that somehow everyone didn't throw their blame on me. Though I know for myself that im the reason why things turned out like this.
After lunch, umalis na kami nila dani. We're just sitting here in starbucks waiting for Billie. She texted me that she's on her way already. Another minute later, we saw her making her way inside the café. Dani waved her hand for her to notice us. Agad naman niya kaming napansin and approach us.
"Hello kiefer. Hi baby girl." She said. I just nodded. Dani embraced her as soon as she stood up near our table. Billie hugged her too. Feeling ko hindi na makahinga si Billie sa higpit ng yakap ni dani.
"Hello Billie. Long time no see." That was thirdy. Teka bakit parang highschool lang ang isang to? Kilig na kilig. Grinning like a foul. I shook my head sideways. Nakakatawa itsura ni Thirdy.
"Hi thirds. Yes. Long time no see." Billie replied.
Watching these two is like watching a movie. Pa-tweetums.
"Titigan na lang tayo ganun?" Dani said out of the blue.
We all laugh. Nakakatawa talaga ang isang to.
Billie takes the sit beside dani while I'm beside thirdy. So basically, magkaharap ang lovebirds.
"So kelan ka dumating? Dapat nagpasabi ka para naman masundo ka namin." Thirdy said as soon as we're all settled down. Umorder na rin kami and were now waiting for it.
"Naku. Ayaw ko makaisturbo. If I know, busy kaya kayo, Superstars. And I tried to reach you, pero nag-iba ka na daw ng number." She replied. Thirdy just nod, satisfied to her response.
"Eh ate billie, are you here for good?"
"Depends pa baby. Maybe yes, maybe no." Billie answered dani.
"Why? Dito ka na lang ate bils. Please." Dani said pouting.
"Eh bakit ka nga ba bumalik all of a sudden?" Its my turn to ask.
"Someone needed my help. And I can't turn her down."
"Her? Who's her?" Thirdy.
"A friend of mine."
Our food arrived already so we devoured it for a moment. After catching up with her, I and dani decided to separate our ways with the two. They needed this chance to sort things out in their relationship.
Dani said she wants chocolates so we head to the supermarket. Sabi niya ngayon ko na lang daw siya i-date since our supposed date was cancelled because of that unfortunate encounter with mika. Wala naman akong magagawa, kukulitin lang ako ng isang to pag hindi ko napagbigyan.
I'm just trailing behind dani as she was busy picking what she wants. I'm scrolling in phone when I heard dani.
"Manong..." I looked up.
"ate mika." she added. Then point her finger to the girl in the other aisle.
Its her. Its Mika. The moment I saw her the beat of my heart jumps through my shirt. Kinakabahan ako. Shoud I approach her? Eh ano namang sasabihin ko? Hindi naman niya ko kilala. Wag na lang. Kiefer, ano ba yang naiisip mo? Di ba hinahanap mo si mika? Ngayong nakita mo na, papalampasin mo lang? Para kang g*go.
"Hello." I said stuttering. Teka, pano ko napunta dito? Bahala na.
"Hi?" She said back.
"Kamusta ka na?"
"Huh? Wait. You look familiar."
Upon hearing it, I swear my heart jumps because of joy. Nabuhayan ako bigla. Naaalala niya ko.
"Ikaw yung lalaki sa mall. Tama ba?" What? Nanlumo naman ako bigla. I felt a pang in my chest.
"Ate mika?" Dani said. Nasa tabi ko na pala siya.
"Oh hi.Okay ka na ba? Pasensya ka na the last time ah." She smiled to dani. That smile. The smile that captured my heart. It's captivating. Flawless.
"Yes po." Dani uttered.
"Pasensya ka na talaga ah. Hindi kita kilala eh. Wala kasi akong maalala eh." Mika said.
So it's true. All our hypotheses now become conclusions. She loss her memory.
"Are you free? Mind if we join you? We're your friends before. Di kami masamang tao." I said testing my luck. Bahala na pero gusto ko talaga malaman lahat.
"Please." Dani added pouting. Mika just chuckled.
"Cute mo naman. Haha. Hmmm, Sige na nga. But I'll call my friend first. Libre niyo ko ah." She said.
