Hmmm, Im planning to surprise billie. She got promoted.

Hmmm, actually i really need help. Okay lang ba sayo?

I have practice lang this morning but afterwards, im free.
I hit send. Then a moment after, my phone started ringing. She's now calling me.
"Miss mo na ko agad? Di ka satisfied sa text? Haha. " I said as soon as i picked it up. Maasar lang ang isang to.
"What time tapos ng practice mo?" She said. Okay. Sabi ko nga, snob-zoned ang hirit ko.
"Before lunch tapos na yun. Why?"
"Perfect. I need you to be there around lunch para mahaba haba preparations natin for the surprise."
"Okay. Asahan mo ko."
"Good." She said then hang-up.
Its been one week since that "group date" (as for dani said) with her happened. And sa loob ng isang linggo, pinagkakasya ko lahat. Im trying to squeeze everything to my super tight schedule. Actually, busy talaga ako pero hindi ko na pinapaalam kay mika. Gusto kong bumawi sa kanya. I want her to make her feel that im always there whenever she needed me. And i guest, naiparamdam ko naman siguro sa kanya yun sa loob ng isang linggo mula ng makasama namin siya.
I got up from my ever-so-clingy bed and do my morning rituals. I drive my way on our traning. Good thing, im not late.
After my morning practice, i fixed myself. Mika texted me the place awhile ago. So pinuntahan ko agad kahit na pagod na ko.
The location of the event is in batangas, because tagaytay is too mainstream daw. Natatawa na lang ako kay mika. When i arrived there, walang tao. There's no any hint of party in the place. I opted to ask the receptionist to be sure.
The receptionist said that there's a reservation for the area. Nakapangalan pa nga kay mika. Then my phone started ringing.
"Kiefer, andyan ka na ba?"
"Yes miks. Kakarating ko lang."
"Ah. Hmm, baka ma-late ako. May emergency kasing nangyari pero inaayos ko naman na."
"Okay lang. Ako na lang muna magsusupervise ng event. Kaya ko na yun. Ayusin mo muna yan."
"Yun na nga kiefer. Another problem. Kakatawag lang ng event planner sakin. Sabi niya hindi daw naconfirm yung surprise for billie kaya they removed it from their list." She said, disappointment is evident on her voice.
"Ganun ba? Hmm, gusto mo ako na lang gumawa lahat?"
"Sure ka? Naku manong, wag na. Nakakahiya naman. Treat ko na lang si billie."
"No. Its fine. Kayang kaya ko yun. Sus, maliit na bagay." I said trying to impress mika but at the back of my mind, kaya ko nga ba? Baka madisappoint lang si mika sakin.
Kiefer, you wouldn't be the clutch player for nothing. I said to myself in silence, cheering myself up.
"Sure ka manong?"
"Yes. Just tell me what you want me to do. And ill take photos of it na lang for you to see it." I suggest.
"Thats sounds good." She said in delight.
"Ill send you pics kung anong gusto ko para magaya mo. Okay ba yun?" She added.
"Thats better."
"Okay then. Thanks kief. Good luck." She said then hang-up. Naku pano ba to kiefer. Yan. Pa-impress pa. Mapapasubo ka na naman.
Moments later, my phone beeped again. Mika already send me the picture. Ano to? 6 hours left for me to prepare pero yung gusto niya, bonggang bongga naman. Parang may ikakasal.

Kaya ba? Kung hindi, sabihan mo ko ah. Para ipacancel ko na.
I didn't bother to reply. Tiningnan ko ulit yung picture. Maraming kailangang gawin. Maraming aayusin. I sigh. Don't disappoint her kiefer. Just don't.
Sinuyod ko ang buong batangas para makabili ng kailangan ko for the said event. Ang hirap pala. Its exhausting. I can say na dito pa lang, pagod na ko.
Pagbalik ko ng venue, i started organizing everything. Nagpatulong na rin ako sa mga staff ng hotel para mas mapadali. Luckily, they allow 2 staff to help me. But since what mika wants is so much into details, nahirapan kami. We worked for it in a span of 4 hours.
I took a photo of it after were done then immediately send it to mika. After 30 minutes, she called me.
"Manong, kamusta? Pagod ba?" She said as soon as i picked up her call.
"Okay lang. Hmmm hindi naman. Hindi nakakapagod. Kayang kaya pa."
"Really? So pwede pa baguhin?"
"What?!" I almost scream. Nagulat lang ako.
"Nevermind. Sorry." She utter sadly. I know she's disappointed.
"Hey. Im sorry. I didn't mean to shout. Hmmm, but why gusto mo ipabago? Don't you like it? Maganda naman ah." I said trying to lift her up.
"Yun na nga. Masyadong maganda. Ang bongga pa. Baka mapagkamalang ikakasal si billie."
"Ah." I just said in response.
"Okay lang magchange? Or you changed your mind na?"
"Its fine with me. Kayang kaya naman. Send me a pic again."
"Really? Super thank you kief. I owe you one."
"Your always..." Hindi ko pa natatapos sasabihin ko, binaba niya na. Then she send me a pic. Mas simple nga ang isang to pero wala na kaming oras, 6 pm yung party ni billie.
Sinabi ko sa staff ng hotel yung plano. Maski sila nanghinayang for the efforts, pero wala namang magawa dahil iba ang gusto ni mika. They just agreed and help me to redesign the event. Were now lacking of time kaya naman double-pace lahat ng kilos. Ang ending, pagod kaming tatlo. But were all satisfied sa ginawa namin.
Nagpahinga muna ako saglit before tawagan si mika. I know im really exhausted and all i want to do is cuddle in my bed.
I took a photo once again then send it to mika.

San ka na? And bils? Yung mga bisita?
From: Mika
Manong, wait lang. Urgent meeting. Text you when im done.
I wait for mika. 10, 20, 30 minutes then turned into an hour.
I woke up to the vibration of my phone. Nakatulog na pala ako. And its past 9 in the evening already.
"Manong, still there? Im really sorry."
"Hmmm, yes. Okay lang. Nasan na?" I said.
"Uhm kiefer, i talk to billie a while ago. Hindi pala siya yung napromote, its girly. Mali ako ng rinig."
Nice. How nice naman.
"So i guess, there no reason to celebrate?" I said. I know i sound irritated but i don't care to hide it from her. Im really pissed.
"You want me to go there? Tayo na lang magcelebrate?" She said, baby talking. But not now mika. Hindi mo ko madadaan sa mga pacute mo.
"No need. Just rest. Sana makatulog ka ng mahimbing. Night." I hang-up. Naiinis ako but im too tired to talk about it.
I checked in into the hotel and decided to just take a sleep there. Hindi ko na kakayanin magdrive pabalik in the metro.
"This is really a tiring day." I said before dozing to sleep.
