2 days later Dean was better again, his throat still scratches a bit and he's still a little hoarse, but the fever is gone.

After school, Dean was picked up by Stella. "Don't Kelly always come pick me up?" Dean asked as he stood in front of the open car window. "He had to do something quickly. Are you coming or would you rather walk home?" Stella asked with a smile. Dean threw his school bag through the window onto the back seat and climbed into the passenger seat. When they got home, there was a package on the kitchen table. "What's that?" Dean asked, putting his school bag in the corner and taking off his shoes. "We have a little surprise for you." Kelly said. Just as Dean was about to open the package, he heard strange noises and the package began to move. Dean took a few steps back as a precaution. 'Kelly, you open the package. I hide behind Stella and Leslie." Dean said and hid behind the girls. Kelly just shook his head, carefully tipped the package over and took off the lid. Dean's eyes lit up. Inside the package was a little kitten and it was slowly feeling its way out of the package. "Can we keep the kitten?" Dean asked, taking the kitten in his arms. "We can. But you are responsible for the kitten. We know you're only 8, but we think you've got enough responsibilities. Of course, we're always here if you need help with anything." Kelly smiled. "Yay, thanks." Dean said. "You're welcome, and do you already have a name for your kitty?" Kelly asked. "He looks like a little tiger." Dean said. "So, you call him little tiger?" Kelly asked. "No, but I call him Tiger." Dean said. "Clear. Actually logical." Kelly laughed and petting Tiger's neck. "Where are Matt and Sylvie anyway?" Dean asked. "They're at home to see if they could salvage anything. Should be right back, though." Stella said. At that moment the doorbell rang. "I'm sure it's them." Kelly said, walking toward the door. "Hey, and were you able to salvage anything?" Kelly asked. "Not much. A statue, some plates and glasses and some photos." Matt said. "Hey, who do you have here?" Sylvie asked when they came into the kitchen. "That's Tiger." Dean said, proudly showing them his pet. "Well then, welcome to the family, Tiger." Sylvie said and petting him. Sylvie helped Dean with his homework, Kelly and Matt set up the cat corner, and Stella and Shay prepared dinner. After dinner, Dean played with Tiger in the living room for a bit before it was time for bed.
