When I woke up from the dream, I couldn't sleep. It felt so eerie, it couldn't possibly mean anything. My mind dropped to the thought of Hysteria, does she know I'm here? is she outside the gates begging to see me? or is she in the bakery, thinking I'm in the army?

I threw the covers off me and stood up from the bed. The white curtains allow a little light in, the sunrise just about to begin. I opened the lamp on the desk and got a piece of parchment. I dipped my pen in ink and wrote.

Hello Hysteria. I'm sorry I haven't written in a while. For sure the palace had sent words to you that I have been taken by them. They claim that I am a moon warrior, I'm not sure, but you probably felt the ground shake a few days ago, that was me. They are training me every day, but I still can't channel by calling, it only happens when I lose control of emotions. I don't like it here, I want to see you, be with you. I don't belong here. I know this is the wrong time to tell you but I do have it, I have dreams, the vivid, eerie dreams, Even before the army. I should have told you, I'm sorry. I miss you.

I folded the parchment and placed it in the drawer so that I could give it to Laika later on. I didn't want to ask her why she didn't tell me about my parents, why she lied about them being farmers, I wouldn't argue with her, not now that I am here. I turned the lamp off, the room dim and cold. It was so quiet, lonely

I wanted to try, maybe the dark will help me call for more light. I stood at the open space in the room. Taking a deep breath, closed my eyes and called out to the light. Please, come. I opened my eyes as I felt the sudden energy. Around me were vine-like celestial energy. Slightly lit the room, They looked so peaceful, I felt the energy weaken. I gasped as the light disappeared, leaving me in the dark. I sighed in disappointment. why?

I walked around the room, fidgeting with my hands, looking out the window, anything that would pass time. I waited for Laika, saw the sunrise at the window, so quiet, the only noise was birds chirping, the gardeners watering the plants, assassins walking on the gravel path, and the faint noises of the assassin's training. I stopped at the mirror, I looked at myself. I looked clean, fresh, and...not myself. "Vi? are you awake?" I hear Laika's voice. I turned away from the mirror to answer the door. "Morning," she greeted, I greeted back. "Will I bath?" I asked. "Go ahead," she said as she hanged my Al Kina. I made my way to the bathroom, filling the tub with warm water. I sat there for a while, my skin, so pale it would glow the moment it hits the water. I rinsed off and wrapped myself in the bathrobe. When I got out, Laika was already waiting for me but the vanity. Laika worked my hair, but this time it was different, instead of a braid, she made it into a half-moon. I saw her grab a pin from the case she brought. It was gold, formed like a crescent of a moon. I didn't like the fact wearing gold, it felt selfish to wear it, considering she's not. Laika finished it by putting the golden headpiece on my head. "Is there something happening today Laika? why is my hair not in the usual braid?" I asked as she helped me wear my Al Kina. She finished a button before looking at me, "It is not for me to say, best wait. I'll go now," She said as she kept her case. I just nodded, standing looking at her. "Before you go I have another letter, is it alright to send another one?" I asked as I walked to the drawer. She looked at me, nodding, "Sure," she smiled. I gave her the letter,  "I'll see you later Vi," she smiled again before leaving my room, closing the door. I felt it again, the loneliness.

I waited for Arwen and Franz this time, I don't want them getting into trouble because of me, and I don't want to see the King's face. I heard a knock, I made my way to answer the door. There stood Fanz and Arwen. They bowed before speaking, I wanted to stop them mid-way, I don't like them bowing, I'm not their superior, I don't deserve to be bowed to.  They didn't say a word, only signaled me to follow, so I did. We walked but stopped by a hallway, at the end of it is the King's quarters, what are we doing here?
