I woke up to the sunlight piercing my eyes. I flattered my eyes open before I sat up from the comfortable bed. When I had my eyes fully opened, It took me a moment to observe my surroundings, it looked nothing like my room. I closed my eyes to reminisce the night before, "Good morning" a voice suddenly said, I quickly opened my eyes, turning my head to the direction the voice came from. "Xavier..." I exhaled. He chuckled, his smile crooked my pretty, "I apologies for last night, did you get the chance to eat dinner?" he asked as he fixed the cuffs of his sleeves. I nodded, "how was your sleep?" I managed to say without any stutter, but my heart clearly pounded, I mean who wouldn't? I woke up in someone else's room. "Very well, Laika came by but I told her you're still asleep, I'm sure she's waiting at your room," he said, now heading to his bedside table, grabbing his royal ring. "Right, thank you," I said as I quickly stood up from his bed, only then did I realize I only had my nightdress on. I stumble around to look for my robe, "Here you go," he said, handing me the robe I had been looking for. I laughed nervously, "Thank you," I sighed. I wore the robe, taking a glance outside the window, the sun was shining bright, I made my way closer to it, peeking outside. "Winter has ended," I said, seeing the bright summer sun outside. "Your favorite season has come," I smiled, turning to face him. He had a smile tugging at the edge of his lips, "Thank you, Vi, for last night..." he suddenly said, only now I remembered he had given him the permission to fall asleep on my lap, and guessing by it, I had fallen asleep as well. "I haven't had a sleep that well in quite some time," he smiled to himself. I smiled back warmly, "I'll go ahead now, I'll see you for breakfast?" I asked. "I'll be back for breakfast," he said, making his way to his door. I walked out of his room as he held the door open, in the hallway, he gave me a smiling nod before turning his heel, walking back to his reality as a king, and I, as a moon warrior. I sighed as he disappeared out of sight.
As I stood in the hall, my body bounced with energy as somebody had touched me by the arm. "Laika, you scared me!" I exclaimed in a breathy voice. "Sorry," she squealed. "We have to talk though," she said before quickly dragging me by the arm, into my quarters. "What's wrong?" I asked as she shut the door. He scoffed with a chuckle, "Take your bath first, I already prepared it for you," she said, going through her case. "Alright..." I squinted my eyes in suspicion and confusion as to what my raven-haired friend wanted to talk about.

I got out of the bathroom, ready to hear what Laika had to say. She waited impatiently by the vanity, just before I could sit, she pulled me down and sat me on the chair. "Woah, are you in a hurry?" I chuckled. "Alright, I'll get to the point," Laika sighed as she combed my hair. "Will you be queen?" she asked. My eyes widen as I quickly turned my head to look at her, giving her the 'what do you mean' look. She chuckled, "I mean, what is going on between you and his majesty," she said. "Wha-wat do you mean? nothing...of course nothing!" I exclaimed nervously. "You know I can comb my own hair," I smiled nervously as I try to reach the comb in her hand, be she quickly pulled her arm away, "Don't try and change the subject," she sassed. I sighed in defeat, "To clarify your misunderstanding, no... nothing is happening," I smiled forcibly. She let out a sarcastic tsk as she began to tie my hair into my normal braid. "Then explain why you slept in his room," she said. I tried to find an excuse, I couldn't possibly say we were being hunted by the dark witch, no...
"After dinner, I accidentally fell asleep while we were having a short talk about training and all," I lied. "So yeah, I fell asleep on his couch, nothing much," I sighed to make it more believable. "Then why did he give you the Avivieth bracelet, it is only meant for queens," she said teasingly raising her eyebrows up and down. "To show appreciation to my hard work in training? I don't know..." this time I didn't lie, I wasn't quite sure why he gave me the bracelet, he only said it suited me. This thought brought me back to what he said last night, to what we said last night. In moments of loneliness we always did manage to coincidently run into each other, was it really a coincidence? or was it because of a thought hidden inside our minds, a thought that yearned for each other's presence...what was this emotion called?
