Chapter 3.5- Scout's Executive Board

What does the Scouts executive board do on college night? Party of course! Many may not know but there are three party days for college students. The two obvious ones are both Friday and Saturday. Thursday is a day many don't expect but it is because colleges are having fewer Friday morning classes. Hence how a new college night was born!

Levi Ackerman doesn't mind parties. Heck, he actually likes them. Aside from the loud music, unsanitary toilets and random strangers bumping and grinding on you. Okay, maybe Levi Ackerman isn't a big fan of parties. His mother was a bartender so he grew up in a bar-like environment. Mr. Ackerman would say he outgrew this bar/club/party culture yet here he was at a house party sitting on a couch. The friends he came with, Hange, Erwin, and Miche were off somewhere doing god knows what.

Erwin suggested going tonight and they all agreed. Erwin Smith. He's a senior double majoring in Political Science and Communications with a minor in German. It's nearly impossible to balance the classwork, being the president of the Scouts, and also being involved in other extracurricular activities. Yet Erwin Smith could do it and excel in it. He's known around campus for his stellar grades, his charismatic nature, and his looks. Erwin isn't a lady's man because he's more interested in his work than the ladies. This is the main reason why he remains single. However, on nights like these, one lucky young lady will be chosen for Erwin to spend the rest of the night with. Sometimes the one-night stand turns into a whole month affair and the lady leaves him because he's too focused on the classes and organizations he's a part of. This time the lucky lady's name is Gretel. She isn't Marie, no one could be Marie but she will suffice.

Erwin and Gretel are talking until he scans the room to check on his friends. Hange is playing beer pong, Miche is distracted by the owner of the house's dog (somehow it escaped the upstairs room), and Levi is sitting on the couch with a scowl.

Erwin: "Gretel. I want you to meet somebody. Are you okay with that?"

Gretel: "Yes! Of course!"

Erwin smiles and they make their way towards Levi.

Erwin: "Levi. This is Gretel. Gretel, Levi."

Gretel gasps. "You're THE Levi Ackerman!"

Levi: "Yeah, I am."

Gretel looks at Erwin. "I'll be back." She dashes off.

Levi: "Gretel huh?"

Erwin sits down. "I find her to be quite pleasant. She's not worried about having no strings attached."

"She'll say that now until she changes her mind in the morning."

Erwin produces a dry laugh. "Why are you sitting by yourself? Usually, you'll hang out with Hange."

"Don't know."

"I saw your cousin at our meeting earlier. She looked upset."

Levi sighs. "Yeah, it's a breakup. For some reason, I couldn't find Eren, her ex at the meeting like he was avoiding me. I'll find him eventually. I won't hurt him but he's gonna learn a new meaning of respect."

Erwin smiles. "You're worried about your cousin."

"Hard not to be. She lost her parents and I've been there by her side. The one time I leave again, her heart gets broken' He takes a swig of the contents in his cup.

"It's a party Levi, go have fun and worry about your family later."

Levi slightly nods his head and takes another sip. Gretel comes back with two other ladies.

Gretel: "These are my friends, Layla and Pen."

Pen: "It's short for Penelope! We're huge fans of you Levi!"

Layla: "Yeah! We saw you play out on the field and you're such a badass!! You should be on the pros team."

Erwin gets up. "Well, I'll leave you three to it."

Erwin leaves with Gretel and Levi rolls his eyes and mutters. 'You can't throw girls at me to solve a problem."

Levi: "I need a drink."

Levi gets up and excuses himself to get a drink. He wasn't one for attention yet he is widely known for his athletic abilities and that includes beating the Marlean graduate student, Ezekiel in a game a few years back (a story for another time). Not only this but it is rumored that his abilities also translate to his performance in the bedroom. Like Erwin, he isn't too fond of relationships but Levi isn't hung up on someone like he is. Nor does he merely have one-month flings. He refuses for his feelings to get deeper than that because a relationship isn't his priority. Hence why Levi prefers one-night stands. Maybe a few times a year. He is after all a healthy young male in an environment that doesn't promote abstinence so he would like some form of fun. After Levi gets his drink, he walks over to the beer pong table where Hange is playing.

Hange: "Having fun?"

Levi: "The party isn't my style."

"When has it ever been?"

"You're right about that." He takes a sip.

"Met any new friends?"

"Erwin did. Then the girl brought two of her friends. They're right over there." He motions towards the ladies who are talking amongst themselves."

"Not bad choices. I would go for the curly one."

"For you or me?"

"You know I'm not interested in this college hookup culture."

"Oh right. Everyone thinks I have a stick up my ass when it's actually you."

"Well, people are speculating that you do swing for both teams."

"Somehow my love life is always centered front. I need another drink."

"Wanna do a throw before you go?"

Levi silently takes the ball from Hange and throws in the winning shot. The people on Hange's side cheered while the loser took the last shot. Levi makes his way towards the kitchen again and he stops when he sees Petra just entering there. Yes, Levi does one-night stands but he enjoys the friends with benefits with Petra a lot better. He walks up to her.

Levi: "You just got here?"

Petra: "Yeah, about thirty minutes ago. I was taking a nap after work and I almost forgot about coming. This place is like a maze. I spent half my time finding a bathroom and then finding the kitchen." She chuckles reminiscing her actions.

"The party isn't really fun."

"Not until you get drunk right?" She drinks from her cup.

"I think I'm in the mood for something else."

Petra walks closer to Levi. "What did you have in mind?"

"We haven't done it since I got back and I heard you just got a new car."

Petra: "Not exactly new but used."

Levi: "So you wouldn't mind if I fucked your brains out in the back seat, right?"

Petra laughs. "Now why would I do that in a car I just bought?"

"It's a new place we haven't discovered and they always say you should break into new things."

"They say that about shoes. Aren't you a clean freak?"

"Same shit. Just because I like to clean, doesn't mean I don't get dirty."

"Smooth line Mr. Ackerman. The party must be boring if you're considering that."

"You know me, parties aren't my style."

"There's a pair of girls staring at us."

"They're friends with a chick Erwin is hooking up with. If they see that I'm leaving with you, they'll move on to Miche."

Petra grabs his hand. "Then let's go and you better clean up afterward."

"That's the plan."

Levi and Petra leave the party and as predicted, the ladies move on to Miche. In the end, you could say it was another typical college night for the students of Elydian University.
