Chapter 11

Impromptu girls' days start later than usual. Shortly after Hitch takes Historia's phone, it rings. Instead of Eren, it was Historia's father and she hurriedly took her phone back. After receiving the call, she disappears for an hour and Hitch goes on to get a few snacks from the store. She also managed to charm the cashier into overlooking her wine purchase.

Once Hitch was finished, she waited another hour until Historia came back. The two went and got mani-pedis then Mina came along and shopped with them. Night soon befell and the three went to Hitch's place.

Within the first two hours of their night, they sang karaoke and opened a bottle of the cheap red wine. Mina had just finished putting on a mask for the last one, Ymir while watching the Titanic.

Ymir: "Random question. Not really but I'm curious, was there a specific reason why this sleepover was arranged?"

Hitch swallows the remnants of the salty popcorn in her mouth. "Because we haven't done this since high school and why not? Everyone has been so wrapped around boys-"

Ymir: "I'm gay."

"And school. Let's reconnect, let loose, have fun!"

"Still doesn't answer why now."

Historia: "You don't have to question it, be glad that we're doing it!"

Mina: "I thought you wouldn't be on board, Historia, considering you spend most of your time with Eren nowadays."

Hitch: "Hey! No boy talk!"

Mina: "But that's one of the fun things about sleepovers, the gossip!"

Sasha: "Mina is right. That's how we found out about Rein-"

Annie: "Please don't remind me about that incident. I barely escaped with my vision that day."

Sasha: "Well without it, we wouldn't have had a chance to bond more with Annie and her sorrows!"

Hitch: "You do bring up a good point."

Historia lightly tugs on Hitch without anyone noticing but her.

Hitch: "BUT! We will not do that this time."

Mina and Sasha groan.

Hitch: "Ok, not now. Maybe later."

Mikasa: "By any chance, is your reason for wanting to talk about it later, related to Marlow?"

Hitch crosses her arm as everyone's attention turns toward her. "What? No!?"

Ymir: "Sounds like you're lying."

Hitch: "I don't have any reason to lie."

"Oh yeah?!"

"Yeah!"

"So you'll have no problem if we were to call Marlow?"

"Ymir, it's ladies' night. Why are you trying to ruin it?"

"It's obvious you're hiding something."

Before Historia spoke up, she took a swig of wine from the bottle. "It was for me, okay? I needed this sleepover."

Ymir leans back. "Was that so hard to say?" She grabs the wine bottle only to reveal that there was nothing left. "Greedy ass."

Historia waves her hand down. "It's no big deal."

Ymir: "You're one sly woman."

Sasha: "What happened, Historia?"

Historia: "I fought with Eren earlier today."

Mina: "About what?"

Historia: "Uh well, my dad. He came into town and he doesn't approve of him."
