Chapter 8

After a long day of classes, Historia heads back to her dorm where she hears familiar voices. She opens it to find Eren, Jean, Mikasa, and Ymir in the living room.

Historia slowly closes the door. "Hey, guys, what's going on?

Ymir pokes her head up. "Hey, we're doing this group English project together. Eren is helping us out since his class has already started theirs.

Eren nods his head. "We're almost done with our project for my class since we got it two weeks earlier."

Jean sighs. "I'm tired of taking English classes. One would think after being taught this and German all these years, we can have a choice not to take it in college."

Ymir: "You're gonna do business right? So it would be wise for you to keep up your English skills. We can't speak German all the time."

Jean: "Whatever."

Ymir: "Don't you know three languages, Mikasa?"

Mikasa: "Yes, English, German, and Japanese."

Ymir: "Impressive, do you still remember Japanese?"

"I grew rusty over the years which is why it's my minor. Also, I recently met my relative from Japan so she has been helping me with it."

"Maybe you can teach Jean since he's gonna be a big businessman."

Jean rolls his eyes. "Shut up."

Ymir: "What? It would be useful for you to learn. That's all I'm saying."

Jean: "I'm gonna head to lunch before our English class. Anyone wants to join?"

Historia: "I just picked up food on the way here. I had back-to-back classes so I'm pretty tired."

Ymir: "I'll pass, I ate before we did this project."

Mikasa: "I'm hungry."

Eren: "Me too."

Jean: "Let's go."

Historia: "I'll see you guys later."

Jean and Mikasa bid their goodbyes to Historia and Ymir.

Historia makes her way to Eren to hug him but he holds up his fist. She looks at his fist in confusion but he takes her hand and fist bumps it with his.

Eren: "See ya."

Historia nods her head and the trio leaves.

Ymir: "You were so awkward."

Historia: "That obvious huh?" She walks to her room and screams into her pillow.

Ymir walks into Historia's room. "What happened between you guys? He said something stupid? Saw you half-naked again?"

"No, I did something so stupid. He was being honest and intimate with me and I was shocked by it so I told him 'oh it sounds like you love me.'"

"What did he say?"

"He stared at me like I had three heads and I told him I was joking! I ruined the moment! We hung out afterward but he's kinda acting weird around me."

"His usual weird or hiding weird?"

"Like an awkward type of weird. It's been a week and a half like this. Probably not fun to hear about your ex's dating woes huh?"

"We're still friends. Regardless, I will care about you even if we're dating or not."

"Thanks, Ymir."

"No problem...... So, you think he loves you?"

Historia sits up. "Wha-well-"

"Do you love him?"
