Chapter 19.5- White Elephant

Ho ho hey everybody! It's your narrator, Connie, again. Zeke is here? Boy, it's gonna get a whole lot more interesting. You know, I realized that we jumped right into the season of giving but there has been no giving yet. Well, unless you want to count Historia giving Eren h- OUCH! Hey! Eren can't be in the studio! Get him outta here!

Ahem, sorry everyone but someone rudely tried to interrupt me. Now, where was I? Giving! Let's take a moment to celebrate the giving season which the Scouts partook in by having a white elephant gift exchange before we all left for home. What is the white elephant gift exchange you wonder?

Basically, everyone brings a present and we label it with different numbers. Then you randomly draw a number from a Santa hat or something and pick the present that corresponds with your number. You unwrap it and that's it. Easy right? Here is where it gets funny. The next guy will have a chance to either pick a random gift or steal the unwrapped gift. With that in mind, I wouldn't want to be the first guy that has to pick. Unfortunately for Levi, he was the first pick.

Hange covered their mouth but failed to stop their booming laughter from escaping. "Pffft HAHAHA! I can't believe it!"

Levi: "Are you finished?"

Reiner: "I'm so sorry, Captain Levi! I didn't know you'd get my gift!"

Levi: "The odds are never zero. Who would get someone this shitty gift?"

Miche: "Levi, sometimes people give pranks as gifts for this type of thing. You should be appreciative that you got anything at all!"

Levi: "I understand the point of gifts, Miche. What I don't understand is giving someone a pig statue that farts in your face when you press the goddamn button."

Sasha: "HAHAHA I'm sorry, Captain Levi but the noise and your face was hilarious!"

Levi: "Reiner, do not talk to me for the rest of the year, if you want to live until the next one."

Reiner bows his head. "I'm so sorry!"

Hange: "It's all fun and games."

Levi: "At whose expense?"

Erwin: "Levi, lighten up. There is bound to be some trickery during the game. Sadly, you fell for one of them instantly. Hange, you're up next."

Hange jumps up from their seat. "Sweet!" They walk up to Erwin and choose a number from the Santa Claus hat. "Number 9."

Erwin turns around and fetches box number nine. It was a long box about the size of half an arm. He gives it to Hange who is perplexed on what the wrapped gift could be. Everyone remains silent as they open it.

Hange: "Huh? A spatula, a big spoon, wait who is giving out utensils?"

Sasha: "GAHHH NO! That isn't supposed to be here! That's Niccolo's gift!"

Connie: "Uh oh. What is supposed to be there?"

Sasha: " A squawking chicken that spits water out and clucks when you press it."

Levi: "What is it with you guys and animals?"

Connie laughs (it was funny!). "Imagine his face when he opens it!"

Sasha groans. "I had one job and I already sent it to him!"

Connie: "At least it'll be a memorable Christmas HAHAHA."

Sasha: "I should probably call him."

Ymir: "You could play it off as a funny gag joke."

Sasha: "We're always playful. I wanted to give him something thoughtful."
