The afternoon saw everyone sitting around the rectangular table in the deliberation room of the Crime Investigatory Team or CIT building. The building is situated at the farthermost part of Demetrieff Academy. Tall trees of maples and cherry blossoms guard the building from the prying eyes of onlookers and passersby. From a casual eye the building’s large windows and impressive architecture might just be connected to the affluence that is normal to that of the Academy. However, inside it the best minds ever to be teamed up converge. In addition, right now these same minds are all busily and noisily talking to each other. One can note the disarray in which they arrange themselves. Three seats were vacant out of the 24 chairs arranged around the table. Another person is also visibly dozing in one of the chairs

The buzzing was halted when Gray arrived followed by Yassir who was carrying all the evidences found by the forensics in a box. Gray silently sat at the head of the table and laid both of his hands on it. Yassir then deposited the box on the midst of the table.

“Of all the evidences gathered today Caleb and I decided that there are two of which the entire team must see and that we must discuss, before returning it to the forensics and from there studied thoroughly by all sections of the team.” Gray said, he nodded at Yassir and in turn, the latter took out a plastic bag. Inside it was the same ball Caleb has found.

“Everyone note that this case is coded as Case Number 934 Circle of Lights. This first evidence-” Gray held up the plastic bag and dictated as the other team members jutted down in their notebooks. “-is marked as Exhibit A, Evidence Number 25. Caleb found this inside the court.” Gray looked towards Caleb and the latter in return gave him a cool look.

“Before we discuss the evidences we have gathered, by the way, I want to hear all the reports of each section of the CIT.”Gray said after laying the evidence on the table. Caleb looked hard at Gray. He was sitting at Gray’s left, prompting Gray to talk. “That will always exempt you Caleb. Your mind shouldn’t be inconvenienced with these simple proceedings.” With that statement from Gray, Caleb relaxed into his chair.

“Let’s start with you Aelfric.” Gray motioned towards one boy. Who was sitting on his right and to whom a chair beside him was vacant.

“Since Yassir has been useless in my work today, because he is so busy following you around Gray rather than stay here and work with me, I can say my work went smoother and fault free. I have finally updated all the firewalls put by the previous computer geek of the last team, which is to say more useless than Yassir is here.” the boy Gray called Aelfric said. “Also, the newest addition to our computer laboratory has arrived kudos to Cecil here-” Aelfric looked at Cecil’s direction, “-and we are now ready for anything you throw our way.”

“That is great Aelfric. Do not worry the next time I will make sure Yassir will be left here with you.” Gray’s words made Yassir click his tongue in frustration and made Aelfric nod in approval. “Aisha, do you have anything to say?” Gray now turned to a girl who was sitting after the vacant seat beside Aelfric.

“I, ah-” the girl looked into her notes before speaking. “-has been busy with this new gadget James and I is working on. I will tell you about it when it is finished. This is the reason why I was not present at the game this morning.” Aisha was about to finish her report when James who was beside her cleared his throat. “Ah! Now I remember, I am already fixing the machine James, in his ignorance, has destroyed.” Aisha added with a sweet smile. This sentence made most of the team laugh, including Blaire.

“Thank you Aisha. I expect to hear about the machine on the next few days.” Gray said and in return Aisha smiled and nodded back at him and said in her sweet voice, “Yes, Gray.”

Gray’s gaze took Allen and Mishka then said, “We will have the report of the forensics team later. Now where are we? Ah, Bernadette, do you have anything to report?”
