Uzi and N are in the middle of working on the landing pod but Uzi can't find the right tools for very specific repairs.

The control panel was the easiest part of the ship to fix, but it was still so complicated at the same time. Uzi was attempting to repair it. After taking the panel apart she realized she was missing several components. She needed at least a dozen pairs of spur gears, three worm gears, and a gear rack. The parts above were just a sample of what she needed, not even including the tools necessary to tighten the gears in the first place.

But the most important tool of all was a Star-Head Key. Ironically, she already had the bolts, but had no idea how to get the tool to tighten them."Dammit!" She kicked over a panel about to walk out of the pod as she slips on a star-head bolt.

N walked in carrying a box. "Hey Uzi I got those parts you wanted, how're the repairs coming along?"

He looked down to see Uzi on the floor her visor slightly glitching from the fall."Bite me."

In spite of her angst, he helped her up. While brushing herself off, N looked behind her at the completely dismantled control panel and the scattered parts.

He walked over trying to see what she was doing while Uzi explained the situation. "I was trying to repair the internal structure of the control panel. But apparently, most of the gears, need to be replaced, and I don't know what the heck a Star-Head Key is."

"The wrench?" N asked. Uzi rolled her eyes, "I guess." Uzi tried to calm down seeing what she could repair going back and forth between looking at the control panel and the blueprints of the control panel.

N distressed about the upset Uzi offered to help, "You know Uzi I can go scouting for the stuff you need." Taking the offer into consideration, Uzi begins to wonder if that might not be such a great idea. After all, it already took him an hour just to find the nuts and bolts scattered around the factory, and besides, she didn't want him to overheat.

"You sure, I don't want you overworking yourself." N shrugged off her concerns, determined to help her. "I'm sure I can get everything in no time, it'll be fine."

After flying through the ruined city of Copper 9, N had found everything on the list stored in a brown messenger bag, except for one thing... the Star-Head Key.

He had flown all the way to the highest stories and still couldn't find the darn thing. He was pretty far from the base and the sun would be up in an hour and a half.

Once more, he used his visor to scan the area, praying that the wrench was just around the corner. His eyes caught a glimpse of it in a strange black building that was taller than all the others and emitted this strange ominous energy.

Once he finally stepped inside, he walked towards a desk and saw the tool he needed. At first, he stretched his arm trying to grab the tool. But then he paused for a moment looking and really started to take in his surroundings.

Acting on his curiosity, he decided to look around this strange room. Looking around for a bit, he wasn't really able to notice anything peculiar. The room seemed like it was strangely organized and clean... to clean.

The shelves were lined with disturbing books with perplexing languages. He grabbed two that caught his eye a red book with violent and graphic descriptions and he thought. 'V would love this.'  He wanted to give his crush a gift for locking her in the storage room. N's tail started wagging at the thought she might even warm up with him, that maybe she could focus all her murderous tendencies on the book rather than on him or Uzi.

There was also a thick leather book illustrated with pictures of drones and other machinery. Uzi would like this but then again she was already working on the pod maybe he'd give it to her later. What would be a good time?

N still felt he was missing something but let it go seeing there was nothing out of the ordinary and went to pick up the wrench but just as he put the last item in his bag.

He saw there on the paper looking down he saw a signature from CYN.

N was shocked he saw the name before and again knew but when? Why was he so nervous to see this name appear and when did he hear about this person?

N had so many questions but they'd have to wait because he had about half an hour to get back before the sun started to come up.

Uzi with nothing to do decided to go back to the factory for a bit to catch up on that book about the undying wizard. She was on the part where they talked about pearl cities. Uzi imagined what a world like that looked like. She was starting to get through to the part where the guy saves a bear when she noticed N had been gone for a while.

The pod was still empty, so she waited and waited and waited... and then she slipped into recharge for a moment, her breathing slowing as her screen went blank.

About ten minutes later Uzi woke up to the sound of knocking as N was begging to be let inside.

Uzi opened the door as N still in midair flew into the control panel the second she managed to get the door open. 'What is it with everyone falling today?'

This time, N scrambled to his feet while Uzi helped him stand straight. When he was up he turned to close the door walking around the light. While leaning on the door he held up the Star-Head Key. Uzi paused for a moment and then remembered something important. After she grabbed another Star-Head Key that was lying on the floor, Uzi laughed because she didn't realize this was what she was looking for.

For a moment N was silent but then all of a sudden burst into laughter while Uzi laughed alongside him. Afterward, N grabs a handful of gears, "So... what's next?"

-----

After they finished up with the control panel Uzi would head back out again. She earned a break and wanted to finish that book.

N waved goodbye when she was out of sight. His smile lowered a little, then quickly he closed the pod's doors. He hunched over while trying to get to the chair, tripping over his feet. N was overdoing it with all the flying, plus trying to keep up with Uzi was a lot. He just wanted to help her but he should have stopped when he had the chance. He could feel his body becoming heating up. 'Why did I want so much to help Uzi? It's not like she doesn't like me, right?'

'And who is CYN-' His head hurts as he thinks about what he saw when he stared at the ceiling. Another thought popped into his head.

'I wonder if there's enough oil in the spire, V needs to eat soon.'

N checked his internal clock; it was 5:55. Five minutes from now the sun would be going down, and in just five minutes N would get up, he had to get up.
