Uzi was using the blacklight on her book and while searching through the pages she found an interesting chapter about bringing back dead workers. It was called the Revival system 'clever' Uzi thought sarcastically.
Though the method to revive said drones weren't too outlandish the first and most logical step was to take a memory chip from the back of another worker drone's head and put it in an unoccupied body. Afterward, the drone needed to be charged, then finally in order to keep their souls intact and ensure the process worked they needed to bind them with the help of a plasma drone.
The second to last part, makes Uzi thinks it was all a big hoax, plasma drones, and souls? Robots don't have souls.
But then again the detailed models of other drones, the ship schematics that helped Uzi figure out what she needed to do all were genuine so why lie know? Something didn't add up, but if this was all true Uzi could bring back the drones of the colony, and maybe she could see her mother again.
Plus working on the pod took a long time to finish it has been three months and only 5% of it was restored.
Uzi sighed and bookmarked the page and then closed the book wondering. 'Who could I ask about this?' Uzi stared at the cover for a moment then it hit her. The cover of the book had the same eye symbol her cat's screen did but... How the robohell was she supposed to ask a cat about this!?
She looked at her bed her cat was in sleep mode tired from looking for damage inside the pod that Uzi couldn't hope to reach.
She went over to Cinder who was already waking up probably able to sense her master's presence and proceeded to stretch as all cats do.
Uzi pet her cat's head and Cinder happily purred in response, not unlike N when they... cuddled.
Uzi quickly opened the book to the part she bookmarked and pointed to the words. Plasma Drone. "Do you know where we could find one of these drones?" Uzi asked but her cat just tilted her head and blinked it was impossible to tell what she was thinking since her visor never changed. But Uzi had the feeling her cat was probably judging her.
'Of course, it's a cat' Uzi thought even though they were both robots the maker obviously just made a normal cat that probably only could follow basic commands and probably didn't even know what a plasma drone was.
But just as she was about to give up her cat pounced on her and she was left confused, "What the hell cinder?!" But even stranger was what followed the cat looked like she was looking for something patting her owner down until the weirdest shit happened that you had to witness to believe. Her cat took her paw and somehow she was able to phase through her owner's torso into Uzi's wiring system without opening her hatch the movement freaked Uzi leaving her immobile as a bunch of error screens popped up on her visor with some of the following messages reading.
Absolute Solver String_True
Open Plasma Valve_Y/N
Y
Allowing Temporary Access
Error_Lack Of Plasmic Energy
Transfer Energy_Y/N
Y
The last thing Uzi could recall was a flash of energy and then the cat took her paw out of Uzi and immediately she sat up wondering what the hell just happened she looked at her cat who was lying there-exhausted. Then Uzi unzipped her jacket and lifted her shirt and to her horror (and confusion) there was a tiny purple spot on her torso-where her cat placed her paw-then Uzi looked at her arm and the plates that covered them which were normally grey were now a mixture of colors; pink, purple, orange, and gold.

FanfictionI'm excited to share with you my first book. The inspiration for this book came from the viral animated web series "Murder Drones", and I pondered what the characters would experience after the pilot episode. The book is quite lengthy, but I assure...
