After N found out Uzi was storing her oil in a giant mason jar. She promised him she wouldn't do it again. Though he doesn't trust her not to harm herself if he starts getting hungry, besides he saw the jar in V's room. He was out hunting then no way he could have given her the oil.
But more than that after he hugged Uzi he felt this warm sensation in his core. He thought he was going to overheat. And when he saw the large mason jar she filled it made him start to salivate. When he changed her wound, it opened up and he smelled her warm sweet oil. It made him want to lick up her oil straight from the source. He was sure she would let him, she let him drink from her before after all.
But he wouldn't do that. Even if she said it was ok it still felt wrong to eat his friend. But the worst feeling of all had to be when she clung to him because he felt so...
Happy obviously he didn't enjoy hurting Uzi but every time she got hurt she'd cling to him like a scared kitten even if he hurt her. She still clings to him and it made him wonder...
Was it just because she was a worker drone? Was it just because she was lonely? If she got hurt again would she cling onto him? If he hurt her would she... Still, want to be around him? Did it matter? If she needed him then it...
N knows he should feel ashamed of himself for thinking this but it feels like some presence is egging him on.
Then his head hurt again. He heard a voice similar to his own but deeper and more sinister.
"If you really want to eat her go ahead I'm sure she wouldn't mind.~"
He heard the voice in his head say N was trying to reject his primal instinct of hunger. He looked at the door again. If he was going to listen to this, he wanted to be as far away from Uzi as possible.
So he walked away no place, in particular, he just started walking then running while the voice was getting louder.
"Why are you ignoring me? Do you want to overheat? We have our prey willingly giving up their precious oil. Let's accept the offer!"
But N refused to listen no matter how logical the voice may sound. "No Uzi is my friend and I won't feed off her anymore!" But the voice was unmoved by N's declaration of friendship.
"You didn't have a problem feeding off her last time though." The sinister voice claimed. The memory rushed into N's head when Uzi was sitting on the chair her shoulder exposed. She told N she trusted him and how the oil rushed out of her wound when he bit her. N licked his lips. Her oil was probably the best he'd ever tasted in his life and the voice knew of it. "Look at you drooling everywhere, why are you avoiding the inevitable? You know better than anyone that you were made to consume. So why are you just standing here? "
N covered his... well he doesn't have ears. Though it wouldn't block out the sounds coming from his head, he locked himself inside a dark room now about five doors away from Uzi and so he proceeded to scream. "NO! Shut up, shut up your wrong I can change I-I know I can... Right?"
N curled himself into a ball still covering his auditory sensors. He didn't know why this was happening but he wanted this to stop. But the voice wouldn't stop screaming. It was always like this when he looked at her scarred shoulder. His visor turned into that infamous X only going back to normal when Uzi looked back at him probably feeling his malicious aura. He wanted it to stop for her to stop glancing at him with terror in her eyes, reaching for her gun when he stared at her for too long, avoiding eye contact.
"I-I don't want to kill her," N whispered but not to the voice more to himself. "I never said you had to kill her." The voice replied in a melancholic tone to N's surprise. He lowers his hands wondering what this change of attitude could mean.
"But you said I should eat Uzi," N said defensively knowing the voice always had sinister intentions. "I said eat not kill, she's more valuable alive than as a corpse."
The voice sounded cold and calculated but not malicious. It said things that made sense still N didn't want to hurt his best friend even if it was the smart thing to do. Remembering the state she was in after he fed on her seeing her overheat freaked him out too much the voice caught onto this and said "I mean unless you want to lose control and finish her off."
"NO, I will never let that happen," N recalled all the times they'd been together exploring the factory together, Uzi giving him flowers, introducing him to anime. All of that seemed small but N appreciated those moments, even more, when she went above and beyond for him.
"Face it N this is what you were built to do and if you ignore your hunger you won't be able to hold back once you're on the brink of overheating." Now N saw a mirror in the room though it was dark N could see his reflection in it only it wasn't him. It was a monster with an X on his visor. His mouth opened revealing rows of fangs even in the back of his throat probably going all the way down to his windpipe. He even had horns coming out of his head curled like a ram and black as coal; on his face and his exposed forearm was some kind of black inky substance. The voice said nothing even when asked who the person in the mirror was.
Curious N reached out to touch this twisted reflection. It was still as a statue when his fingers were just inches away from the mirror. He swore he could see the reflection move, but when he touched the mirror nothing happened.
N quickly withdrew his hand and turned around 'weird I guess my visor's just glitching out.'
Then he heard something. It wasn't the voice anymore. It was much softer, so quiet, that no normal worker drone would have heard "N."
He turned around to see instead of his twisted reflection it was Uzi but she was dressed differently. She was wearing a black dress so long you couldn't see her shoes, her hair was out of her face and she was wearing a flower crown. It had sharp blackthorns and those white morning glory flowers. There were five of them all lined up similar to N's headband thingy. She even smiled though wider than usual her eyes were closed and she stretched her hand out.
N reached out still cautious but he let his hand sit on the mirror and then suddenly she gripped his hand. It freaked him out but she kept on smiling and leaning closer.
"Hey, can you come closer? I want to tell you something" She kept her voice to a whisper and N inched closer.
Uzi still smiling said, "Did you really think I wanted to be friends with murder drone scum?"
"W-What?" N said taken aback by Uzi's cruel comment creeped out that she was still smiling but he didn't have time to question her further as he was being sucked into the mirror. His entire body flipped over like a table.
Hanging upside down, he tried to speak but found that he couldn't because the only thing that came out of his mouth was air bubbles.
N flailed around for a bit trying to turn around, trying to move. It felt like he was surrounded by water feeling the weight of gravity every time he moved.
He tried to swim up and get up and get out but it was like an abyss. He couldn't see anything either and his body got colder and colder but it wasn't comforting. It felt painful and isolating. His arms started to hurt and his joints started to stiffen.
He couldn't breathe either. Every time he inhaled he inhaled more of the black substance, making it harder for him to breathe as he started to lose consciousness.
He couldn't tell if his vision was getting hazy surrounded by darkness.
As he lost consciousness he only fell deeper into the nightmare. The next thing he knew he was at the bottom of this black sea. He tried to move but his arms were bound and so were his legs. He was chained there.
"It's only a matter of time before you snap." The voice finally spoke up.
"Let's see how long it takes before you come to reason." It said taunting N planning to do more than just talk this time he was going to show him the hell he was in for.
