3rd POV

In the city of Vale along it's beachline the headmaster of Beacon can be seen walking. He smiles at the beauty of the beach when his eyes land on Y/N as his body washes onto the shore.

Ozpin: "Well there's something you don't see everyday."

He walks to Y/N then bends down to look at him. He spots all of his abuse marks then feels his neck where he finds a pulse.

Ozpin: "You must have quite the story to tell."

Ozpin throws Y/N's arm over his shoulders while putting his own around Y/N's waist. He then begins carrying him all the way back up to Beacon.

Y/N POV

I open my eyes to see bright lights. I look to my side to see a woman with blonde hair tapping on a large screen. She looks at me shocked.

Woman: "Glad to see you awake."

I blink before rolling off the side of my bed.

Woman: "What's wrong?"

She tries to get close but I vault over the bed getting past her. Some old man enters the room. I bolt pass him out of the room. I run down a long hallway when I come to a dead end. I turn around to see that old man and woman slowly but carefully walking towards me.

Man: "I know you must be scared but it's okay, you're safe. We need you to calm down and return to the room so we can talk."

Y/N: "I won't be a puppet anymore!!!"

I run to the people before jumping onto the wall then jumping over them. I then run down the hall again to hopefully find a way out. I look over my shoulder to see the man and woman chasing after me.

Man: "Please, just calm down."

Woman: "This kid's fast."

I look forward where I see an open door. I go into it and lock it behind me.

Man: *through door* "Please open the door."

Y/N: "No! I won't let any of you use me!"

Woman: "We're not gonna use you, we just wanna make sure you're okay."

Y/N: "I don't trust you."

Man: "I understand, going off those bruises I'd say you lost trust in people a long time ago. But here us out. If you open the door I guarantee that no harm will be brought upon you. I swear my life on it."

I look down, can I trust him? I look back up.

Y/N: "I just can't trust you."

He sighs when the woman whispers.

Woman: "You go, I'll stay."

Man: *whispers* "Thanks Glynda."

I hear his footsteps retreat.

Glynda: "Just me and you now."

Y/N: "I'm not coming out."

Glynda: "That's fine, I'll wait."

I sit down with my back to the door as I hear her do the same. Now begins the waiting game, which of us will break first?

Glynda: "You got a name?"

Y/N: "Y/N, Y/N L/N."

Glynda: "Glynda Goodwitch."

Y/N: "What is this place?"

Glynda: "Beacon Academy. It's a school designed to train Huntsmen and Huntresses."

Y/N: "Who're they?"

Glynda: "Fighters who take down Grimm while keeping the people of the world safe. Do you dream of becoming a Huntsman?"

Y/N: "I was never really allowed to dream. My whole left I've always done what others wanted. Scaring them or becoming their personal attack dog."

Glynda: "Were you a slave?"

Y/N: "I guess in a way. Made to work and receive either a beating or scraps of food."

Glynda: "How long?"

Y/N: "Until just recently."

Glynda: "So you had your whole childhood robbed. While others were playing and making friends you were being beaten and likely lived in solitude."

Y/N: "Yeah."

Glynda: "Why would people even do that to you?"

Y/N: "Because of my Faunus side. Despite my appearance I'm actually a wolf Faunus but not a regular one. I turn into my wolf side and that side is what terrifies everyone. They view me as an abomination to nature and say I should just die. For a while I wanted to, but realized that'd only mean they'd win; so I endured the abuse, hoping one day I could escape and flee into the world to become forgotten."

Glynda remains silent which I guess is an appropriate reaction.

Glynda: "How can man be cruel? You're just a child."

Y/N: "That's the thing about man. If it doesn't look like him and he doesn't understand it, he'll view it as a threat to his survival."

Glynda: "That's still no excuse to abuse a child."
