Y/N POV

I wake up to find it's daytime. I get up and look out my window. I open it to see two students. I narrow my hearing until their conversation comes into focus.

Boy: "You hear about the lowerclassmen in Port's?"

Girl: "Kinda hard not to, he's the talk of the campus."

Boy: "Yeah, people say he went rabid and killed a Borbatusk by ripping out its throat."

Girl: "Makes me wanna think twice before pissing him off."

I sigh before closing my window.

Y/N: "Guess I need to lie low for the time being."

I close my blinds to wait. A couple of weeks later I finally exit my dorm. After looking a the schedule I see that I'm in Miss Goodwitch's. I make it there to see Glynda is the only one there.

Glynda: "Y/N."

She walks to me.

Glynda: "Haven't seen you in some time."

Y/N: "Been staying in my dorm."

Glynda: "I heard what happened. I'm sorry."

Y/N: "It's alright. I'm sure everyone's already forgotten about it."

I smell other kids making their way to us. I take a seat in the back corner of the room. Soon other students arrive and none of them seem to notice me. I turn my attention forward to see Cardin and Jaune beginning their fight.

Jaune swings his sword only to get swat away by Cardin's mace. When he hits the ground his shield gets knocked out of his hands. Jaune runs back to Cardin and brings his sword down. But Cardin blocks him before overpowering Jaune.

Cardin: "Give up."

Jaune: "Never."

Cardin slams his knee into Jaune's stomach taking him down. As Cardin raises his mace Glynda stops the match.

Glynda: "That's quite enough Cardin. As it's clear, Jaune's Aura is in the red. This means he's no longer able to fight. Also, the official would call the winner."

She looks from us to Jaune.

Glynda: "Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now and you've still not shown sign of improvement. Learn to gauge your Aura when fighting. It'd be wise to decide whether to attack or defend when it's low. We wouldn't want you to be eaten would we?"

Cardin: *under breath* "I would."

I growl at his comment when Glynda speaks again.

Glynda: "Remember to keep up with your training if you're competing in the Vytal Tournament. For if you do then you'll be representing all of Vale."

The bell rings dismissing us to lunch. I wait till everyone leaves before doing the same.

3rd POV

Nora: "It was the middle of the night."

Ren: "It was daylight."

Nora: "Urasi everywhere we looked."

Ren: "They were Beowolves."

Nora: "There were dozens of them!"

Ren: "Two of them."

Nora: "But it was all for not! Because Ren and I ended up selling all of their hides and making a boatload of Lien!"

They all laugh except Blake who's staring off into the distance.

Ruby: "What's going on with you Blake?"

Yang: "Yeah, you've been all spaced out lately."

Blake: "You guys remember that kid who fought the Borbatusk a few weeks back?"

Weiss: "Yeah, his name was... Y/N, Y/N L/N."

Pyrrha: "Why're you thinking about him?"

Blake: "He hasn't been in class lately. I wonder why."

Jaune: "Maybe he's going through some personal issues."

Blake: "Maybe. But he's also the same guy who's been avoiding me ever since the night we arrived."

Nora: "Maybe he's just shy."

Yang: "Or maybe he's in love~"

Weiss: "Knock it off Yang."

They all theorize about Y/N while Blake looks to the side. Her eyebrows raise seeing Y/N leaving the cafeteria with a tray of food.

Blake: "I'll see you guys later."

Before any of them can question her she exits the cafeteria. She then discreetly follows Y/N down the hall. Through several turns she sees him enter his dorm. She hears his door lock and walks away thinking out loud.

Blake: "Why's his dorm away from everyone else's? Just what is Y/N hiding?"

The next day Y/N exits his dorm then heads to his next class, history.
