Y/N POV

After several hours I open the door. I look to find that it's already nighttime. I exit the room when I hear footsteps coming to me. I turn that way to see Glynda walking to me with a tray of food.

Glynda: "Oh, you're out. Hungry?"

She sits down as I join her. She takes an apple while handing me a bowl. I snatch it away and turn away to eat it.

Glynda: "Your distrust goes deeper than I thought."

I feel her eyes wander over my back.

Glynda: *quietly* "Oh my."

Y/N: "It's no good whispering, I can hear you regardless. Faunus hearing remember?"

Glynda: "Right, forgot. If you don't mind me asking how'd you get them?"

I set the bowl down and point to each bruise.

Y/N: "These big ones are from my old master, he cracked me with a whip after I bad mouthed him. This one on my side is when I had a miniature Beowolf sicked on me by the same guy who whipped me. The smaller ones between my whip marks are from when I was part of underground fighting ring. That was prior to when I got transferred to the circus who employed my old master. Everything else you see I either forgot or don't even know."

Glynda: "Don't know?"

Y/N: "When my Faunus side takes over I kind of go to sleep. But in my sleep I hear the screams of people I last saw before blacking out. It's scary, knowing I did something horrific and not being able to control what made me do it. It's also unpredictable, one moment I'm in control then after certain stimuli I wake up to bodies everywhere."

I turn around to see Glynda looking down.

Y/N: "My Faunus half scares me. It's like at any moment I'll black out and go on a killing spree. Which is why I despise who I am. I wish Oum had just not made me instead."

Glynda tries to hug me but I back away.

Y/N: "Sorry. But I don't wanna be hugged."

Glynda: "That's fine, I shouldn't have attempted to hug you."

We sit there when Glynda looks at the same kind of electronic Adam had.

Glynda: "It's getting late, you should find somewhere to sleep. I'll come get you tomorrow and show you around. Only if you'd like to."

I look down thinking.

Y/N: "I'd love to."

She smiles before getting up leaving the area. Meanwhile I head back into the room to sleep for the night. After a somewhat pleasant dream I'm woken up by a knock.

Glynda: "Y/N, it's me Glynda."

I open the door to see Glynda holding a set of clothes.

Glynda: "Here, I bought these last night. Can't have you walking around half naked."

I quickly switch clothes before having Glynda holding out one of those electronics.

Y/N: "What's that?"

Glynda: "It's called a scroll. It'll make it so it'll be easier to stay in touch."

I stick it in my back pocket before following Glynda. She leads me all around the school while pointing out each location.

Glynda: "Finally is the auditorium. This is where you'll gather for speeches made by Ozpin."

Y/N: "He's the old man in the green suit right?"

Glynda: "Correct."

She looks at her scroll before looking back at me.

Glynda: "It's time for the greeting speech. Wait here, the other students should be here soon."

Right as she walks away people begin filling up the auditorium. When it's jam packed Ozpin walks to a microphone.

Ozpin: "Greetings students. I know you've all come a long way to get here. To hone and pick up new skills. Once you've finished your time here you plan to go out into the world to protect its denizens. But when I look at you all I see is wasted energy in need of guidance. You assume the knowledge you gain here will free you from this. But you'll soon come to find out that that's not the case, it's up to you to take the plunge."

He walks away.

Glynda: "All of you shall gather in the ballroom tonight."

That night I sneak onto the rooftop to stare at the stars. I sigh as I find peace in the beautifully lit sky. I'm taken out of paradise by the sound of a door closing. I look to see a girl in a black robe and a bow on her head.
