Start Of Initiation

Y/N POV

I lock eyes with the amber eyed girl. I stare at her when I catch her scent, she's not human she's a Faunus. I begin sweating. Does that mean she's working for Adam? I won't be his attack dog anymore!

Girl: "Did I-"

I jump over the railing of the roof. I land on a tree before hiding within its deep leave covered branches.

Blake POV

The boy jumps causing me to go wide eyed. I run over to the railing but become confused when I don't see him. Where'd he go? I walk back into the building with the same thought on my mind.

Blake: "Who was that boy? And why'd he jump off the roof?"

Y/N POV

I hear the door shut while smelling her scent go away. I sigh in relief while deciding to sleep outside tonight. Come morning I wake up and head to where I smell the others students. I soon find myself standing at a cliff.

Ozpin: "You've all trained to perfect your skills, and today they'll all be tested."

Glynda: "In response to rumors on teams. They're true, you'll be given them today."

Ozpin: "These teammates shall be with you throughout your four years, so be sure to chose them wisely. However the second you land and see someone they shall be your partner. Once you've found a partner make your way to the north end of the forest, there you'll find a relic which you're to bring back here. Do that and you shall receive your grade. Any questions?"

Some boy raises his hand but he gets launched first. When it comes down to my turn I jump off the platform. I look as it explodes out of the ground. I walk to the cliff and stare down the steep slope. I brace my feet then slide down the cliff. Once I reach the forest floor I take off in the direction of north. I get what I assume is halfway when I encounter a pack of Beowolves.

*with Ozpin, his POV*

I watch as Y/N slides down the cliff, that's one way.

Glynda: "Ozpin sir."

Ozpin: "Yes?"

Glynda: "Are you sure you want Y/N to take initiation? He told me he fears his own power. So maybe sending him into a Grimm filled forest wasn't the best of ideas."

Ozpin: "I understand your concern Glynda. But I want Y/N to know that he shouldn't fear what he is. When I looked into his eyes I saw a kid who's accepted people pushing him around. I highly believe that by taking initiation he'll learn that that kind of behavior is dangerous to have in this world."

I look at my scroll as I see Y/N encounter a pack of Beowolves.

Ozpin: "He needs to learn to speak up rather than just bottling it up. Because doing that only leads to more pain."

*with Y/N, his POV*

I watch as the Beowolf pack growls at me. What do I do? Do I transform? No, I can't risk killing people. My time to decide comes in the form of the pack rushing at me. I vault over the first Beowolf while sliding under another. When the path is clear I run away. 

I run as fast as my legs can move. I look over my shoulder to see only the Alpha keeping pace with me. I groan when I decide to outmaneuver it. I plant my foot onto a tree then launch myself into the branches. 

It roars before clawing its way up the tree. I look and jump to the next tallest tree. Looking back I see the Alpha making the jump too. I clench my fists before continuously hopping to the next available tree. On one of my jumps the Alpha tackles me onto the ground.

I kick it off then run deeper into the forest. I desperately search for shelter when I find a huge bundle of aboveground roots. I dive under a small opening as the Alpha narrowly catches my foot. The Alpha begins clawing through the roots forcing me to crawl backwards. 

My back hits the edge of the root cage. I look forward to see the Alpha within a few feet of me. I brace for the end when the Alpha's head is cleaved off. I scoot away as the head rolls to me. That's when I hear a girl's voice.

Girl: "You can come out now."
