(Y/n) shifted her gave to Endeavor and tried to remain calm but her thoughts were so frantic.

'Why wouldn't he tell me'
'Is that why he was able to get in by recommendation?'
'They're so different, there's no way their relatives, let alone father and son.'

But most of all, plaguing her mind, the most horrible thought arose. She was disgusted with herself for even thinking it but judging from how he just radiated bad energy,

'Was he the one who burned him?'

"So do you know him?"

She snapped back into reality and put on her poker face.

"Yes, I know Todoroki"

(Y/n) didn't want to tell him too much yet.

"Then I have a favor to ask of you"

She was too stunned to say anything, and in the absence of her response he asks anyways.

"Can you get him to use his fire?"

Still trying to wrap her head around the new information that endeavor, THE NUMBER TWO HERO, was TODOROKIS FATHER.

She glanced at him and recalled how Todoroki was hesitant to even talk about his fire, let alone using it.

'He has one of the most powerful quirks in that class, if he wanted to use it he would have by now'

"Uhm, I don't know, I wou-"

Cut off by the ringing of her phone, she checked the screen.

'Oh my goodness mom I love you so much'

"Oh, I'm sorry, this is my mom, I have to take this!"

She speed walked past him and made eye contact with him one last time, giving him a glance and hoping he could infer what she meant by it.

'I know I said tell me eventually, but wtf was that'

He looked at her apologetically and she picked up her phone as she walked up to the gate, waiting for the other match to end.

"Hey mom!"

"Hi! (Y/n), how are you? We're all watching the television at your aunt and uncles house right now, you're on next right?"

(Y/n) smiled as she got to talk with her whole family (speaker phone was a wonderful creation), they gushed to her about how excited they were to see her fight, warned her to be careful, but most importantly, right before she got called into the arena, she was wished good luck by all of them and was told that she was loved.

She thought about that, walking onto the battle ground.

Her family was watching her, they sent her all the way to Japan for this. They gave her so much.

'Might as well entertain them'

She smiled to herself and looked at Iida, her opponent, straight in the eye and spoke up.
