Nighteye was a tough guy to get on your side, and (Y/n) tried very hard to get him to like her. Unfortunately humor was not on her side in this aspect.

"Is that supposed to be funny?"

'That was the best dad joke I had...'

(Y/n) looked down awkwardly and thankfully Mirio stole the spotlight.

"Sir! It's nice to see you again!"

"Good afternoon Mirio, punctual as always"

Mirio let out a hearty laugh and greeted him as if he were an old friend, while (Y/n) was internally freaking out over meeting one of her greatest inspirations. Not wanting to make a fool of herself though she kept quiet and waited to be given a task.

She dropped off her bags, changed into her hero costume, and was told they were going on patrol.

The four hero's began to walk the streets, bubble girl and Nighteye walking in a peaceful silence while (Y/n) and Mirio chatted.

"So (Y/n), you must have chosen your hero name by now, what did you pick?

—————

Midnight stood at the front of the classroom, and all their eyes were down at, staring at their whiteboards.

This was what they were to be called for the rest of their hero careers, maybe even their lives. Aoyama went to the front of the class first.

"I can not stop twinkling"

Uhhhhh

'That's a whole sentence?"

(Y/n) thought for a moment. Whenever she daydreamed of being a hero, she never thought of her name. Her dream was to be a hero that was able to represent people without a strong quirk, that has to rely on knowledge and physical strength to become great, and to be a symbol to them, that they too can be hero's. She wanted to protect them.

She smiled, then knowing what she wanted. Looking up at Tsu who was presenting her name.

"Froppy, the raining season hero"

She was met with applause and a new found excitement within the class. She used this to walk up and present the name which she had chosen.

—————

"My name is Soteria, hero of protection!"

(Y/n) stated proudly for him, and he loved it.

"That's awesome! Such a deserving hero name for such a cool hero!"

(Y/n) smiled even brighter.

"Your hero name is lemillion right?"

"Yep!"

"Why is that?"

He always loved telling people this

"It's because I want to save 1 million people"

He didn't care if it sounded childish, that's what he was going to do. (Y/n) thought it was a noble pursuit and applauded him for that. They moved into the next topic. Topic after topic they spoke about nonstop until eventually, patrol was over and they were back at the agency.

Being 5:30, they still had time to kill so (Y/n) brought up training to her intern mentor.

"What about it?"

Night eye stated bluntly.

"Well, I was wondering if you could help me learn a new skill, it will be difficult to get on my own training so I was wondering if you had any equipment to help with target practice?"

Night eye was intrigued by this, her quirk being not in need of any particular aim she hadn't mastered, that being with her hands, so he asked for elaboration, and so she told him her idea. He was shocked, but safe to say he now knew why choosing her was a good idea for internships. He smiled at her for the first time and he approved of her idea, exclaiming

"Yes, I can help you. It will be beyond any training you have done before, and I will never go easy on you, but by the end of the week I can see you being equipped with a very strong foundation of your idea"

(Y/n) smiled, and even laughed a bit.

"Did you mean to make a pun sir?"

He raised his eyebrow but couldn't help the smile that graced his lips.

"Perhaps I did"

—————

The internship was absolutely exhausting. Her day consisted of getting up at 6, strength and cardio, then breakfast and shower, chores and reflex training (he threw rubber balls at her and she was supposed to catch them, if she didn't she had to run a lap around the block), then lunch, afternoon patrol, and then the training. He worked her to the bone, even fighting her one on one, teaching her new moves, using her own against her, and spending hours solely on her 'special' training. By the end of day six she was covered in bruises all over her body, cuts everywhere, more sore than she had ever been, but, he was right. One of her biggest weaknesses, her largest disadvantage on the battle field, and one of the hardest things to even come up with a solution for let alone train it had been solved.

She was now able to fight long distance.

—————

Patrol was wrapping up on her last day there as the clock struck 5:30 and she realized how much she would miss it, she was an actual hero at this place. Her and Mirio walked back in silence, taking in the front of the office one last time as the sun began to set. The had one more night there before they left in the morning.

The two interns along with Nighteye stayed outside for a while. He spoke up first.

"(Y/n), you aren't supposed to know this, but frankly I don't care."

(Y/n) and Mirio chuckled at the bluntness of him that they had grown to love.

"You will have a work study later in your career at UA high school, and you are welcome back here"

(Y/n) smiled brightly, more excited than ever.

"I would love to sir!"

"I say tonight we should celebrate, for (Y/n)! I've seen you train and let me tell you, it's very impressive, I even got you something!"

Mirio, being the kind soul that he always is, had purchased and wrapped for her a box of 24 stainless steel throwing needles, much better quality than the ones than the rather tarnished ones she had been training with.

"They're dull enough to where they won't penetrate skin, causing any permanent damage, so don't worry about that."

She hugged Mirio, she now saw him as one of her older brothers, not that she needed any more but he was so kind to her. He deserved that title more than anyone.

"Thank you, truly, both of y-"

She was interrupted by her phone, she glanced down to see it was Midoriya.

She got a chill up her spine for some reason and her heart quickened. She looked worriedly between the two others.

"He sent me his location?"
