Under pressure

Chapter 30

After another day of pushing herself to her absolute limit with her quirk, she wanted to go to the hot springs again, but the pussycats had other ideas.

"It's a test of strength!"

"You'll be going through the woods, being scared by your other class with an assigned partner!"

It sounded like a lot of fun actually, and being partnered up with Tokoyami and Shoji just made it even better!

When it was their turn to go, the two began walking through the forrest, an eerie feeling washed over them. Hesitantly, (Y/n) speaks up about her concerns.

"Look, I don't want to jinx it, but shouldn't we be getting, I don't know, scared by now?"

"Yeah, I haven't seen any of class 1B yet"

As if it were clockwork, suddenly, something shoots out from behind a tree. Though it's not a student.

Shoji senses somethings up and without thinking, he covers Tokoyami and (Y/n), only to get one of his arms cut off.

They all gasp and run for cover. From behind a tree, they see a man emerge and hover over Shojis severed arm.

'Is this... is this an actual villain?'

The three turn their heads to see the next group approaching, carrying someone from classes unconscious body with them. Shoto and Bakugou don't notice the other three students desperately trying to signal to them to get away, when they are spotted by Moonfish.

Realizing the villain is outnumbered, the five classmates stand together in defensive positions, and (Y/n) directs her attention to Shoto.

"What's going on"

Before he can say anything, Mandalay sends the whole camp a message

"Students are permitted to fight villains, we have discovered they have two targets, Bakugou and (Y/n)."

The students are suddenly rushed with an attack from Moonfish, sending his teeth blades directly at them. After them being frozen, he possibly does the most horrifying thing imaginable and suspends himself in the air, by his teeth.

"Can you make my needles out of your ice?"

In her hand no laid an ice fragment, (Y/n) tried to find where to aim it, but Moonfish had essentially made a barrier with his teeth, blocking his pressure points.

Though she didn't think for too long as Bakugou was gearing himself up for an explosion, only to be stopped.

"You might cause a Forrest fire, possibly injuring or even killing our classmates"

(Y/n) decided to throw a piece of ice at the mouth of Moonfish, but somehow able to sense it, he blocked the shard and started to attach the ice wall protecting them as hard as he could. Behind them, they heard Tokoyami struggle.

Jumping to get Midoriya out of the way of dark shadows claw, he explained to him how Tokoyami lost control of dark shadow and was fighting desperately to gain control once more. Going back and forth with Shoji, as Midoriya always does, he comes up with a plan to save all of his classmates.

Bakugou, Shoto, and (Y/n), hiding behind the ice, we're discussing how they were going to attack, when they heard rumbling from a distance.

All of the sudden dark shadow reveals himself and goes after Moonfish. Shoji screams at them.

"MAKE LIGHT, HELP HIM GET CONTROL BACK"

But they can only watch in shock as Moonfish is flung around like a Ragdoll. Eventually though, Shoto and Bakugou step in and light up the darkness, helping Tokoyami regain control over his quirk.

"This is dumb"

"I hate to agree, while I appreciate the sediment, what about you guys? You all might get hurt as well by protecting us"

"I DONT NEED PROTECTING FROM YOU"

Shoto, Shoji, Midoriya, and Tokoyami formed a barrier around (Y/n) and Bakugou to escort them, and each had their protests.

Other than their protests though, the Forrest was silent. An eerie kind of silence. (Y/n) was beginning to zone out while walking behind Shoto, when she felt a hand being placed on her shoulder, and suddenly her entire body felt cool, like a marble. Her last sight was his dual colored hair.

"If you're protecting them, shouldn't they be with you?"

"What do you mean, (Y/n) and Bakugou are right-"

Everyone turned around only to notice that they were missing. Shoto's heart dropped into his stomach.

Jumping from the tree line, Compress made his presence known to the students, taunting them about loving a good performance while he held three marbles in his hand, one for each of the students.

A chase began and he was fast, staying high above the trees and extremely agile. Midoriya suggested that he, along with Shoto and Shoji be flung in the air after the Villian, like a bullet. Like how his plans usually end up, it worked. They crashed right down, pinning him to the ground, but right at the meeting spot of the rest of the league of villains.

"Compress, get out of the way"

'What?'

Before another thought could go through Shotos head, blue flames shot out towards him and they all dispersed before he put them out with ice.

He shot more ice, attaching a guy in a body suit, 'I think the others called him twice?'. He was quick though, dodging everything he attacked with.

His attention was drawn when Shoji unveiled two marbles in his hand and spoke.

"Come on, let's get out of here, fast"

They started to sprint towards the trees, only to be greeted by a nomu, but only it was worse than a nomu, because it was a nomu with chainsaws.

Sharply turning the corner, the boys realized they were surrounded by villains. Kurogiri opened up portals for them all and the villains started to walk through one by one.

"You boys forgot one of the basic rules of magic"

He lifted his mask only to show three marbles in his mouth.

"If I'm flashing something, it means there's another thing I don't want you to see"

Shoto felt his stomach drop when he saw compass take his 'final bow', only for a miracle to happen. A laser shot out of the bushes, it was Aoyama. It broke his masks and the three marbles fell. Shoto and Shoji started to sprint, lunging for the marbles.

Shoji manages to grasp one, but the two Shoto were after were snatched right infront of him by Dabi, the villain with the blue flames.
