Under pressure

Chapter 29

After hours upon hours fighting her way with her classmates through the woods, (Y/n) finally saw light break through the tree line.

Bruised and exhausted, they all tried desperately to catch their breaths while the pussycats pondered on why it took them so long to get out. Fortunately, class 1A was met with food, oh glorious food.

"Also, everyone, this is Kota!"

A small child who did not look like he wanted to be there showed his face. The hero's continued to talk while Kota stood off on his own, closest to (Y/n), but still around 6 ft away, it was only because she standing at the perimeter of the group.

"Cool hat"

He looked up at her with a board expression.

"Thanks"

'Alright then, successfully bonded, now I can move on with my life'

Midoriya seemed to have other plans as he tried approaching the child, only to be punched , and quickly collapsed from the pain.

"Now this is a one time thing, for the rest of camp you have to make your own food!"

This was quickly brushed aside as the teenagers started filling their plates and sitting down eagerly. (Y/n) sat next to Ochaco and Shoto.

"Oh goodness, if this was only the beginning I can't wait to see what the rest of camp has to bring"

"Class 1A was in the spotlight during last semester, so it's time for 1B to shine."

Class 1B followed king Vlad the next morning, eager to start training, until they broke the tree line and witnessed the absolute chaos that was unfolding on the training grounds. He was right, they were trying to break themselves in the pursuit to grow stronger.

While they were observing, a tree behind them burst into mere splinters and leaves as the saw (Y/n) running, following the training bobcat had given to her.

"I want you to run laps around the entire Forrest and throw these needles at pressure points in the trees every five seconds, shattering them."

"But these are only seeing needles"

Pixie bob smirked at her.

"Yeah, so start running"

They watched her run by, take another needle, and hurl it at another tree, having the same result as the first, the path she was taking leaving trails of wood chips and splinters behind her.

Nearby, she saw Shoto in a barrel of water, changing between fire and ice as quickly as he was able to. She hurled a needle at a pressure point in the ice once he changed it and it shattered before his eyes.

Looking upwards he saw her running by and the two smiled and gave gestures of encouragement before continuing on.

And that's how it went almost the whole day, once it was sunset they halted their training until the next day and headed towards the kitchen area.

Bakugou proceeded to scare them all with his knife skills, teamed up with (Y/n) who stressed them out with her method of cooking everything at once and constantly running around to make sure she had everything going correctly. Overall the food they made was delicious, but an interesting process at that.

The class had a great collective idea of going to the hot springs as well, allowing their muscles to relax and just relieve all of their stress. Of course Ochaco had been waiting for a private moment with the girls to reveal her snippet of information.

"So (Y/n), gotten any further with Todoroki?"

This caught her off guard, usually it was Mina who pried her about this, so having Ochaco confront her about her feelings for the boy was unexpected, especially infront of all the other girls.

This peaked all of their attention as usually (Y/n) had a quick comeback to questions like this, this time however she just put her finger over her lips.

"You guys have to be quiet okay, they're right next door"

They leaned in closer to the center of the spring and nodded eagerly.

"Okay so what is it"

"Alright so you all need to act like nothing is happening and be quiet, you promise?"

The girls nodded.

Shoto and (Y/n) watched as the end credits rolled to spirited away and he asked the question plaguing his mind.

"So what now?"

"Well I guess we can do whatever we want, I have a lot more movies, we can just go to sleep if you're tired, I guess since final exams just ended we don't need to worry about-"

"No, (Y/n), I mean about us"

"Oh"

A blush couldn't be contained from her face and she swallowed.

"Well I mean... I like you a lot Shoto, more than I have anyone else, so I don't really know what to do I guess"

"Well then I guess I'll ask you out"

(Y/n) laughed a little bit

"Would you like to consider this a date then?"

"Sure why not"

The tension built up eased and they relaxed into her couch.

"Then I guess technically we've been out many many times"

"Yeah I guess so"

The leaned their heads sideways, against the back of the couch and just looked at each other.

"So then, having established that, would you like to be my girlfriend (Y/n)

"Oh my god that's the cutest thing ever"

She didn't give them all the details, like how they kissed or anything too personal, but the girls ate up the information that (Y/n) did end up sharing.

"Yeah, I'm so happy for you guys"

"Mhmm, you guys are so good together"

They continued on and (Y/n) looked down so they wouldn't see the smile that she failed to stop from creeping onto her face. That was until they heard someone try to climb up the wall form the boys side.

'Damnit Mineta, why are you like this'

Being knocked down my Kota, Mina stood up and thanked him, prompting him as well to fall off of the wall.

A fitful end to a very eventful day, unbeknownst to them, the next one would be unfortunately much more memorable.
