2: saves and first impressions

Dear diary...

I'm finally in the Garrison! Since I'm shy and all, they gave me my own room. Isn't that great! Well the news gets even better! Shiro managed to talk to that boy from earlier and now he also attends the Garrison! I'm super happy but I don't know why, I mean I don't even know the guy but soon I will...if I can stop being shy and weak.

Anyway I gotta go for training. See you later!

I was in the training simulator with the rest of the students in my uniform. It turn out that I was the youngest student to ever attend the Garrison. It kinda made me nervous but my mom told me that I'll be allowed to visit her from time to time.

Now I was training and we al had our seats and joysticks. The Commander told us to fly in a certain formation and we all did as asked.

"Alright now hold formation and keep it at an angle." Commander Iverson said and we all did as instructed. I moved my joystick so my jet was inline with everyone else's and now we were all in a tight formation,

"Good. Keep the good work Ms. Karai " the Commander said and all eyes were on my screen.

I became a bit flustered and I could almost hear Shiro's smirk. Creepy am I right? I was cut from my thoughts when I heard the mullet boy and the Cuban boy argue. Man I should really find out their names! Also we just started how are they already arguing?

In a flash, the mullet boys jet did a nose dive a zoomed past all of us. The rest of the team shouted his name but I was pretty impressed but didn't show it. 

"Looks like we have a show off" said the Commander, and I knew this wouldn't end well. We were all standing in a straight line. I was in between Griffin and mullet boy. 

"I would like to inform you that all of you except Ms Karai will be doing extra drills thanks to Mr Showoff here" Commander Iverson spat and the air grew thick with tension.

He gave the boy a glare and walked off leaving our classmates groaning in frustration. I was  bit confused why the general left me out but who am I to  judge his word. I was cut off from my thought when I heard an angry scoff from Griffin and he turned to the violet eyed boy who I came to learn as Keith.

"Thanks a lot Keith!" He spat and the boy ' Keith' I guess, answered back but calmly.

"No problem"he simply stated and James got even more frustrated. He just tensed up and I knew something bad was gonna happen.

"You're not even supposed to be here if it wasn't for Shiro" he said and I moved back a bit getting more angry ant James.That's when I snapped and spoke up but it was barely a whisper.

"Leave him alone, he's a better pilot than you anyway" I quickly shut my mouth.

"Excuse me?" He asked and the boy Keith looked at my surprised.I then realized that they heard me and I knew that I was in trouble. Griffin then looked at me once again and bent down to my level.

"Say that again shortie !" He spat in my face and I froze with fear. I just kept quiet and looked at my shoes whilst playing with my fingers just wanting to disappear.

" I thought so. Pip squeaks like you won't understand any of this. And you Keith.."

Before he could say a single thing to the boy, I stepped on his leg really hard and he let out hiss of pain. Just before I could process what I did, A sharp pain spread across my face. He slapped me. I fell on the floor trying to hold back the tears. The boy 'Keith' looked at me in sorrow then his expression changed to anger and what he did shocked us all.
