"Y/n are you sure your okay?" Your friend asked

"Why wouldn't I be" you smiled taking a sip from your glass

"Babe I know you and I know your hurting" she sighed

"I just didn't expect it you know? I thought I the feelings between us were obvious, and now he's got someone else" you said as tears filled your eyes.

Marcus had been your best friend since 6. The two of you were inseparable then and still now. A few months ago you both had a moment when you was drunk that resulted in you both expressing some feelings and sharing a kiss. Since then everything stayed the same but deep down you both knew that you two eventually were going to end up together. It was just something that you both never discussed but also never looked at another person in that way as your loyalty lied just with each other.

"Well of course y/n you two had your moments and even as an outsider looking in I could tell you two were in love.

Marcus has found himself a girlfriend and you aren't handling it very well. You just didn't expect it.

"Babe it will be okay, but I gotta go just call me if you need me okay" your friend said giving you a hug and heading out the door.

You made your way to your sofa putting on some random stuff on the tv and scrolling through your phone. You couldn't help but begin to cry just at the thought of Marcus. It almost felt like a break up in a way apart from there was no relationship to break and you two are still best friends.

After an hour more of drowning in your sorrows you was interrupted by a knock at the door, you hazily got up to see what it was assuming it was just ur Amazon parcel.

"Heyy oh"

A familiar voice said

It was Marcus

You looked up, "oh hi I didn't expect you" you said with a smile

"Why you crying" he said walking in and shutting the door behind him

Shit. You said to your self

You wiped your eyes the best you could, forgetting you had just been crying for hours.

"Oi" he said again

You turned to face him

"I'm not" you smiled and walked over to sit on the sofa

"Okayyy" he said taking a seat next to you

"What brings you here" you asked

"Was just missing you" he smiled

"So soppy" you laughed at him

"No I just finished training and was driving past and thought I pop in quick as I haven't seen you in a while" he said turning his attention back to the tv

"How was training" you asked

"Yeah it was alright, the games been postponed so that's annoying but better safe then sorry" he shrugged his shoulders

"Yeah" you nodded and grabbed your phone to help distract yourself

"You sure your alright" he said and you nodded

You felt like tears were gonna spill out any moment so you made your way to the kitchen

You took deep breaths and had a sip of water to try and calm your self down, you felt like you was going to have a panic attack just purely due to being overwhelmed by the whole situation.

"Hey hey hey what's going on" Marcus came into the kitchen and ran straight over to you pulling you into his chest "just breath"

You took a few breaths and pull away from his hold.

"I'm fine I'm fine I just need some space." You said in a whisper

"What?" He questioned

You shook your head

"Y/n you need to tell me what's going on I can't just leave you like this" he said sounding concerned

"I'm your best friend y/n let me help you" he said

"That's the problem" you whispered turning your head away

"You don't wanna talk to me anymore? Did I do something?" He asked

You shook your head again

"I thought we were more then just this Marcus" you said walking even further away as you felt more tears about to spill

He immediately knew what you was talking about

"Y/n" he said

"Tell me that it's not my fault" you said questioning why he chose to meet somebody new instead of progressing things with you

"Y/n" he repeated him self

"Tell me that your still mine" you said

"Y/n" he said even louder

You look straight up at him directly in the eye

"Tell me that we'll be just fine, tell me that I'm all you want." your voice broke as you said it "please"

"I left her" he said

You didn't say anything

"I left her cos I want you. I wanted you this whole time, I came here after training to tell you all of this"
"I'm still yours" he said

He walked closer to you

You stayed silent as he held eye contact with you.

He put his hand around your waist and rested his forehead on yours

"We'll be just fine" he smiled and laughed a little

You put your arms around his neck

"Why's you never tell me before" he asked

"I didn't know how serious you was about her and I didn't wanna ruin anything for you." You said and he smiled

"Can I kiss you" he asked

"You don't even have to ask" you smiled back

"Your all I want" he said after he pulled away from the kiss
