I promise you this, I'll always look out for you.

Ben was your best friend, you and him had been friends since you was tiny, you were always at his house and barely at your own.

You went out to a party together with the others.

"I'll come find you in a bit y/n" ben said kissing you on the cheek and going off to his friends whilst you went to yours

"Hey babe" Lauren said

"Heyyy how are you" you asked giving her a hug

"Yeah I'm good how's things" she asked

"It's been good, if I'm not working I'm at bens" you laughed

"Oooo" she said nudging you

"Nooo it's not like that at all we are just best friends" you said smiling

"Yeah yeah" she said "shall we get some drinks?"

"Yeah of course" you laughed

"I'll just go pee then I'll be back" she said

"Okay what do you want I'll go order" you said and she told you

You walked over to the bar "hi can I have a espresso martini and a vodka coke please" you asked the bar tender

"Hello" someone came up next to you

"Hi" you smiled turning your attention back to the bartender who was making your drinks

"Are you by yourself?" He asked

"No my friends are here" you said

"Well it doesn't look like it" he said getting a bit closer

"Oh well they are im just getting us drinks so if you'll excuse me" you smiled moving away

The man put his arm around your waste stopping you from moving

"Your not going anywhere" he laughed

"Please just let me go back to my friends please" You said beginning to get overwhelmed, you began to look over seeing if you could see anyone to help you.

The man grabbed your face turning you to look at him "my eyes are here sweetheart" he said

You took a deep breath trying to calm yourself down.

"Oi what the fuck man" you heard a familiar voice

You suddenly felt relaxed as Ben came over pulling the man off you and holding you in his arms

"Fucking get away from her you freak" he spat at the man who was quick to walk away

You hugged Ben so tight

"Are you okay darling" he said looking down at you

"Thanks to you" you said looking up at him but not letting go

"Come on let's get some air" he said walking you out to the balcony

"What was his problem" ben asked

"I don't know he was asking if I'm alone and I said no and i tried to get away but he got hold of me" you said

"Prick" he muttered under his breath

"Don't be mad, I'm okay, thank for your saving me" you laughed pulling him in for a hug

He looked at you "hey" he said getting your attention "i promise you this, I'll always look out for you" he said smiling at you

You don't know what came through you but in that moment all you wanted to do was kiss him. So you did

You leaned in kissing him, he didn't react at first but then kissed back.

You pulled away "I'm sorry I don't know what came over me oh my god I didn't mean to do that" you said starting to panic. You began pacing up and down the balcony

"Ben I didn't mean to do that I, shit please just pretend I didn't" you carried on rambling before he grabbed your arm and pulled you over to him

He didn't say a word just placed his hand on your cheek and kissed you.

When he pulled away he looked you in the eyes, "Sometimes actions can mean a whole lot more then words"

You smiled at him

Maybe he was all you needed all along.
