James maddison- till i saw your face

I was doing fine without you till I saw your face

You and james broke up a few months back and all was going well until you saw him at a party.

"Come on y/n please come it will be fun" Sasha begged you

"I don't want to sash" you said back

"Please I'm the only girl there, jacks got all the boys coming and I'm just gonna be there by myself. Pleaseeeee" she asked again

"Ok fine" you sighed. "But if I see him even briefly I'm out okay"

"Fine" she said "let's go get ready come on"

After a few hours you were all dressed up and ready to go.

"It will be okay Babe" Sasha said and grabbed your hand as you walked into the house she shares with jack.

"Hey girls" jack says coming up to give you a hug "come sit we've just put out a tray or shots" he said pulling you and Sasha along

Everyone greeted you both giving hugs and asking how you are

You were embraced by one of James' best friends Ben

"Y/n hey!!" He said pulling for a hug

"Hey chilly you alright?" you asked

"Yeah good, it's good to see you" he smiled

"And you" you smiled back

He walked past to to say hi to Sasha, you turned to say hi to the next person and...

It was him.

Your eyes both immediately made contact, your whole body froze not knowing what to do. You knew there was a chance he would be here but you didn't think you would end up face to face with him.

You both looked a bit shocked, it had been weeks since you last saw each other.

The only thing you could think to do was walk off so that's exactly what you did. You went out and sat on the steps outside the front door. You took a few deep breaths and tried to calm down.

A while later you felt a presence next to you, you assumed it was Sasha, and was shocked when you turned to see James. He looked at you

"Hey" he said

You didn't reply

"Look I'm sorry if I startled you a bit in there, I didn't expect to see you either" he sighed

"It's fine" you said and gave a small smile

"How you been? You know with what happened" he asked

"I was doing fine without you, till I saw your face" you said

"What's wrong with my face" he joked

You laughed and rolled your eyes

"Nah I'm kidding. I guess I could say the same" he said "It's harder isn't it. You can think your fine and over it but when you actually see the person in the flesh it all comes flooding back"

"Yeah it really does." You said

You both stayed in silence for a while

"I best go find Sasha" you said standing up

James stood up too

"Okay, well I'll see you around I guess." He said

"Yeah, it was nice to see you James. I mean that" You smiled and started to walk off

"Hey" he said getting your attention

"Don't be a stranger alright" he said and gave a small smile

You smiled and walked inside

Sasha was in the kitchen making a drink so you went to see her

"What was all that about then?" She asked so you explained

"I know you miss him y/n and he misses you . He asks Jack about you all the time" she said

"Just think our ship has sailed you know" you said and looked round the room, accidentally catching eye contact with him

"He's been looking at you this whole time" Sasha said taking a sip from her drink "if I was you and I'm saying this as your friend, go talk to him. See where you both are at. Maybe there's a reason you two can't move on." She said

"God I don't know" you said

"Come on, you got this" she said and nudged your arm

You looked round the room to find James but couldn't see him

You went up to Ben and asked

"Hey Ben where's madders?" You asked

"He just went toilet, he was actually going to talk to you once he was done" Ben said

"Oh ok I'll go wait for him cos I need to talk to him too, thanks" you smiled and waited outside the bathroom for James

"Oh hey I was just gonna come find you" James said as he walked out the bathroom

"I know I was looking for you and Ben said you was here and was gonna come find me in a minute" you laughed

"Everything okay?" He asked

"Yeah I just wanted to talk" you said

"Me too do you wanna go in the garden?" He said and you nodded

You made your way to the garden and stood leaning against the wall, james stood next to you

"I know I said not to be a stranger but I didn't think you would want to talk to me so soon" he laughed and you laughed back

"I've missed you" he said looking at you

"I've missed you too"  you said

"I know this is weird, but I wish things never ended the way they did y/n" he said

"It's not weird, I feel the same" you said

"Can I just be brutally honest? No beating round the bush.." he said

"Of Course James" you said

"I still love you, and I want us to start again. So if your in then.." he said

You smiled up at him, and grabbed his face pulling him in for a kiss

"I'm in" you said when you pulled away "I love you"
