loves her? loves her? loves her?

 

Does he love her? Would she love him back if he did love her? Is it too soon for him to be thinking this? 

Liam's mind raced with crazy thoughts, doubts, and worries...

He suddenly ran to Zayn and said "I'm calling a cab to go home now rather than later.. Uh, I'm leaving my car since I've been drinking.. Thanks for having me over and letting me talk and.. I've gotta go" 

He rushes through his words as he grabs his jacket off the little hanger by the door. Zayn jumps up, worried, and he says "Li, mate, are you alright? What's gotten into you?!"

"I.. I just.. I think.." He couldn't even form a full sentence at the moment..

"You've gotta let me explain just later, okay? Sorry-Thanks again-gotta go!" He shouted the last part as he shut the front door behind him and ran down the steps, leaving his best friend in the house, confused and alone..

When the cab stopped outside of Liam and his girlfriend's house, he paid and jumped out and went running up to the porch..

As soon as he got inside, he slung his jacket to the chair by the entry then slipped his shoes off and left them messily in front of the door before sprinting through the house to find her..

She was in the kitchen, cooking pasta just like they talked about on the phone..

She was humming, stirring the sauce in the pot on the stove, and slowly swaying her hips..

Liam's hear immediately melted as he seen her.. and he whispered her name

"Beth.."

She turns and smiles.

"I didn't even hear you come in, love.. I was so spaced out.. What're you doing back so early?" She asks, never losing her smile

He can't even respond.. 

He walks over, grabs her hips, and pushes his lips to meet hers.. 

The pairs of lips mold together and just stay that way until they both need to actually breathe so they pull apart and Liam just stares into her eyes.

Does he love her?

Would she ever love him back?

Is it too early for him to say those three words that he feels are eating him alive and will finish him off completely if he doesn't say them now?

"I'm gonna say something that might be crazy" he suddenly admits

She stares into his eyes as she waits.

"I love you"
