"Hey, Liam.." Niall mumbled
"Mmm" was Liam's tired, still half asleep response
"Li-Li" Niall whispers again
"mm hmm" Liam hummed as he started to roll over
"Wake up, Li" Niall whined again
"I'm awake." Liam mumbled
"Okay.. Here's a coffee." Zayn's voice was heard from above them
Both boys looked up, Niall already being away and Liam having to sit up and rub his eyes.
"Thanks, mate" Liam said in a deep voice since he just woke up "Yeah thanks, Z" Niall added
"Not a problem." Zayn mumbled before trudging off to his bedroom where Cassidy was waiting.
"Sleep okay?" Niall asked as he sipped his coffee
"Great, actually.. you?" Liam returned the question as he fixed his hair with his free hand
"Better than I do most nights.. It's good having you around again.. you're the only person who knows about the insomnia.." Niall mumbles the last part
Liam just nods and says "You should come stay around my place.. so you can sleep better.. and I'm kinda lonely if I'm honest. It'd be good being room mates again, Ni"
"I'd like that, man.. it'll be like old times."
"Right." Liam nodded as he sipped his coffee
Cassidy came rushing out of the bedroom, tears streaming down her cheeks. Liam and Niall looked at her, both shocked, and she said "Good s-seeing you both.. Bye.." then she was gone.
The two looked at each other and Niall said "I'm gonna go see Zayn.." and Liam nodded and said "I'm gonna check my phone and give you a few minutes then I'll come"
Niall nodded and got up, leaving his coffee on the table behind where they were sitting..
Liam rubbed his face and found his phone under him and the blankets.. When he unlocked it and checked his messages, his eyes widened a little..
Beth: We should talk
Liam: Yeah, what's up?
Beth: We were very rushed.. it was neither of our faults, but our relationship was never slow or at a friends stage..
Liam: Yeah I know..
Liam: Are you wanting to break up? For good?
Beth: I think it would be best..
Liam: You've still got stuff at the house..
Beth: Right.. I'm gonna send my friend Rick to come over and get it all for me..
Liam: Oh..
Liam: Okay. I understand. and I just wanna say thank you for the time we spent together, the good times.. It was really nice getting to be with you, Beth.
Beth: You too, Liam.. I still care.. I just think we're both better off apart..
